I have a cold and feel yucky, other than Tylenol and Sudafed :( , does anyone know of any natural remedies I can take in the first trimester?
I would usually take a bunch of Vitamin C but I read that too much of vitamin C can be harmful to the embryo :sneeze: :dizzy:

Well, tylenol and sudafed aren't really remedies, they are to help deal with the symptoms.
What kind of a cold is it? I like to make up some Chamomille tea and put a lot of lemon in it, with honey to sweeten.
Homemade chicken soup is always helpful... if you're stuffy, you could add some red pepper or something else spicy to decongest.
Plenty of rest and fluids, you know, all that stuff your grandma told you to do... :p
I can't spell it, but echanacia is supposed to be safe, and great at boosting your immune system. Though I don't know if it is as effective if you take it after you already have the virus.

Brisen, i was advised the opposite when i caught a cold while pg with DS: not to take chamomile or echinacea...
i hooked up a vaporiser in my room at night and popped fisherman's friend throughout the day. both helped immensly

I had heard that during the first trimester it would be best to stay away from chamomile and echinacea.
I have a humidifier going at night, and I will try the chicken soup tonight. I just feel so crappy and I am at work so it makes it work, since I can't really rest.
Thank you for all the suggestions so far.
