DH just doesn't get morning sickness. It took me about 10 minutes longer than my usual morning routine - which is already short for a woman, I think - because I was gagging in the sink and needing to eat in between showering and dressing.

So, he's the one who is ready early, and he sits on the couch with his coat on to wait for me (we commute together when we get our act together). I just needed to eat more..

Sometimes getting it over with is the only thing that works.

I don't work outside the house anymore but during my last pergnancy I had my morning routine down to an art:

*wake up
*eat a small snack
*shower
*put hair up
*brush teeth
*puke in bucket on bathroom counter
*brush teeth again
*get dressed
*toast a bagel to eat in the car

Brushing my teeth triggered the puking every time until about 15 weeks and it was just so much easier to get it over with if I already had something in my stomach to throw up. I also have an aversion to sticking my face ibn the toilet so I kept an icecream bucket for that purpose.

Maybe that's what I need to do - eat something so I have something to throw up! I had only orange juice at that point in the morning.

Uck. OJ is not such a great breakfast to puke up and probably is irritating your already sensitive stomach.

The magic combo for me was Ritz crackers and peppermint tea. Some mornings I could even keep them down but if I couldn't it wasn't too bad to puke up.

Not in your ddc but I remember the morning sickness with my first. Blech.
I would drink a glass of oj to make my self throw up - it did help! But, I only did it when I had somewhere to be in the morning, otherwise I did the early slow rise with lots of crackers and 7up. Not healthy, I know, but whatever it takes to get thru the day. :)

It's been a while sick I've been sick, but I do remember having the yuckiness all day and then at 9w I made myself throw up. It felt better the first time but after that I would throw up every day and it no longer felt better. My second pregnancy I wasn't sick but I was moody. My poor 1 year old would get yelled at so much and I was always mad. I haven't decided which is worse :p

I do know that when I was sick as long as I ate small things all day long I wouldn't feel as bad.

I was blessed not to have m/s last pg. One day I thought it was starting, I realized I was just really hungry, so what I started doing was eating something as soon as I woke up so that I had energy to get through a shower.

I also carried around things like almonds and fruit strips/dried fruit in case I ever just go so hungry I started to feel woozy. Seemed to help.

I didn't brush my teeth for about 3 months with my first pregnancy. I was pregnant with twins, I had the worst m/s all day long, and I just didn't want to make it worse.

In my defense, I was on bedrest and I was single, so the only person around to complain was my dog!
