Any Hbac/Vbac Moms here?

I'm due the first week of October with my second. Dd was born via cesarian in April 2004. I've started planning for a hbac this time--boy, is it hard to find a homebirth midwife for vbac in my area! Just wondering if there are any other mamas here planning a hbac/vbac.

My DD was born by c-section in January 2004. This time around I'm
planning for a VBAC, and will be asking my midwife about HBAC.

I'm hoping for a HBA3C this time. I wanted to have a home birth with every baby but it never worked out like that. All I know is I HAVE to avoid my doctor and the NHS midwives, and anyone else who will be negative about it. I'm hoping to hire my own independent midwife. I just can't be bothered with the hassle of listening to crap about uterine ruptures, and horror stories of home births gone wrong. I don't want to hear things like "can't" or "not allowed" or anything like that.

If in the end I do have another c/s, well, that's ok. At least I know I have done everything I possibly can to avoid it. I will know it was necessary. With my other births I was never quite sure. I was always left thinking it was more convienent to the medical staff than for me and my baby. My last c/s was a reasonably positive experience, so if I have to have one again I will plan for that, and ask to hold my baby straight away, and to see the placenta etc.

I was planning a homebirth with DD but after 52 hours of labor and no sleep I opted for the c-section. I would like a vbac but I'm afraid of another 52 hours and another c-section.

I'm still undecided.

I had a wonderful HBAC experience with my 2nd DS, who will be 3 when this baby is born. The care provider made ALL the difference! Literally! That and having my chiropractor come and adjust me during labor. My labors progressed VERY similarly (and I have looooooong labors), but my midwife knew what to tell me to do - like to REST and not to labor too early (like I did the first time, thinking I was "on the clock" with the OB and hospital). It was really amazing to be "done" with labor all of the sudden! I was shocked!

I confess it was HARD. VERY HARD. But, as they say, so totally worth it, and I will NEVER labor and birth differently again!

So excited for more mamas to have the experience of a VBAC/HBAC! :love

I had a natural, unmedicated hospital VBAC with DS #2. I am hoping for another VBAC this time.

I'm also undecided. I would like to have a VBAC, I think I am a good candidate for it (prior c-section due to breech positioning, no complications from the section, 3 years between births).

But if there is anything I learned from my last pregnancy it is to go with the flow. I am considered "high risk" b/c of high blood pressure, so my main goal is to get through the pregnancy with both myself and the baby healthy, and hopefully avoid bedrest.
