Hello all :wave I am newly :belly with #2 and am planning a VBAC. It's been very hard finding a provider who does not require constant monitoring in labor but I think I may have found one (funny how it is a male OB and not any of the CNMs I have interviewed)!

I am slowly making my way through the threads on VBAC in this forum and also wondered if anyone could recommend a good book for me to start reading now? I need to do all I can to prepare myself. Any other thoughts would be appreciated!

HI

I am also newly pg with #2 and I am planning a Home vbac. I have read many books on the subject. My favorites were "Silent Knife" and "Open Season". I just read the VBAC Companion but I didn't like it as much. I would also suggest checking out ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) at www.ican-online.org. There are many good resources there as well. The internet in general is packed with good vbac info :)

Good luck in your journey and Congrats on the baby!!!

Oh yes, I have also read "Thinking Woman's Guide" a couple times and "Birthing from Within". They are 2 of my favs. But they dont touch too much on vbac which is something I really need :)

And congrats to you too!!! Happy birthing :)
