Wow, what a week!!

Thurs night I became sick with constant diarrhea and vomiting (both at once is interesting to say the least!!) I was admitted to the hospital Friday morning, and finally home now. It was quite an experience to say the least.

There is still concern over this pregnancy as I was carrying twins, but lost one over the weekend. I had a feeling there was more than one. Right now I'm sad over the loss, but hopeful about the other baby.

I have another ultrasound scheduled to check on this baby tomorrow. It is still somewhat early, but a yolk sac was detected on Saturday, but no definite heartbeat just yet. Don't bash me over the u/s please. I do believe there is a time and place for them...and I think its appropriate use of technology now.

I'm feeling ok now, I've got some stomach damage because of it, and now need medication to keep the stomach acids down a bit (or else hyperemesis could be really bad this time). Just trying to keep in fluids and a bit of food now and then.

I could really use some good thoughts and prayers that this baby sticks in there!

Oh, you poor woman. That sounds like an exhausting weekend and an emotional rollercoaster. i am sending you plenty sticky vibes and a big hug for the little one you lost. BTW, those are the situations u/s are for, so don't even worry about it!

no bashing -- medical stuff (US, IV, medications) all have their time and place -- and this is one of them.......

You pooooor thing..........

I will be waiting to hear about the health of the surviving twin (or is it twins now and was 3?)

Besides, I can't bash you for u/s...I'm hoping to have one this week.

Wishing you well and I hope everything goes fine in the upcoming days and weeks for you.

OH you poor thing.. sitting on teh toilet with a trash can between your knees , nooot fun, not to mention the loss of teh twin, major condolences and hugs and prayers.. you poor poor baby! not to worry on the US.. I jsut had one (thinking we were "confirming" and early M/C.. who knew?? ) I don't care for them either but sometimes you need to know waht is happening down there.. we are scheduled for one more for genetic screening.. providing that is all clear we won't opt for anymore (but I have learned never to say never.. you know?) each situation must be judged with teh best info at the time and go with it.. hugs
