Hello AP moms in Holland (&Belgium!)!!

Hello there everyone of you....

My name is Angela, I'm a dutch girl living 6 months a year in A'dam (april till oct) and 6 months in Thailand (oct till apr). In 3 weeks, i'll be back in amsterdam and i'd love to get to know all of you!
Our son Wobbe was born on september 21 last year so that makes him 6 months exactly today!!!
I've been together with Rob for 9 years already... he's a singer and i'm a teacher... altough I won't go back to work because of our little one!!
We co-sleep and I plan to BF Wobbe until he weans by his own initiative.
We don't let him cry it out, we try to respond on Wobbe's needs as best as we can. We carry him ourselves (especially I, I carry him all day... everywhere!)
I'm really happy to have found this forum, I was really looking for a AP society in holland and couldn't find it until just now..
I know of the AP meeting this Sunday and I really regret it, that we can't make it but hey, I'm sure there will be another chance to meet you all....
I feel frustrated by the way people bring their kids 5 days a week to a babygroup, how they switch to formula because of shitty reasons after just a couple of weeks or months, how 6 months BF seems to be the maximun in stead of just a nice beginning!!!
Wobbe is a really happy boy and I think this is also because he is with us all day long.

I'm also going to join the LLL.

So you all meet up once in a while?
Where are you all from and where do you live??
How old are your kids??
How many of you are there??

You've got a good deal going -- the best months of the year in both places!

So you all meet up once in a while?
Where are you all from and where do you live??
How old are your kids??

We do meet up once in a while. Three times in total now, I think, and the first meeting was in November. It's lots of fun. I'm American, my husband is Dutch, and we live in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. We have one daughter who is 22 months old.

It's great that we've had a few new people posting to this forum lately. Maybe we can make our get-togethers a bit more of a routine.

Oh, and as for LLL, let me know if you want information on the English-speaking meeting in Amsterdam. We just met today, so the next meeting should be on April 19th, I think, but I'll have to confirm that.
