Anyone else pregnant with #2, and #1 is about 6 years old?

Just curious if anyone else has my exact situation...Pregnant with #2, and have 1 homeschooled dd age 6 at my due date.

I'm happy, but nervous!!!!!!!! DD and I are so close--how will it change, how will my feelings for #2 compare...? Yicks!

I don't have your situation. My 1st is 6 and I'm PG with my 4th.

Don't worry, your relationship with your DD won't change at all (unless it becomes stronger!). You'll have enough love for both of your children. It's amazing how love multiplies!

My DD turned 5 3 wks before her brother was born. She was excited to meet him and to this day she tries to "be his other mom" She tries to pick him up and carry him but he is too heavy..lol.. I was a little overprotective of him at first but she was so gentle with him and still is but now he follows her all around and she is the one that can make him laugh the best. Your heart just grows with each child.

Oh thanks for the wise words, mamas! I do believe and trust that it will be a wonderful experience for the whole family. It's just hard to imagine being able to love another person as much/in the same way as I love dd so intensely...I can't wait to feel what you are all talking about, about love multiplying...

My two nephews are 5.5 yrs apart. They get along great. The little one just adores his big brother and they rarely fight. Joey gets mad when Jake kicks him out of his room for taking stuff. But OTH Jake wants Joey to move in on other days. They are 7.5 and 2 now. My sister says they hardly fight at all! Good luck & have fun telling your dd.
