Because I was following a woman who was carrying a 5wk old in her sling, around the grocery store. I specifically remember making excuses to go down whatever isle they were down and oogling at her gorgeous sleeping lovey. :bag:

My milk has decreased (I'm nursing my ~20m old.) :(

Also - I've put on some chunk, :lol.
I was surprised, that already this early in the game, my pants have retired themselves. (I like to think of it that way, they got smaller, I'm the same :o)

And sure enough...

So, how did you guys know?

We had sex and the next day my temp shot up. I knew I had ovulated and that I was probably pg so I took at test at 10 dpo because I had had some slight spotting (implantation) and I had a yeast infection which I hadn't had since the last time I was pg. ;)

well I thought I was pg, because I just really felt like it, but I didn't have a test so I use an opk and it was positive. I then went and bought some pg tests, but they were negative. So then we caught the eggie and 2 weeks later I got a positive :)

It was our first time trying since taking a year hiatus (we had been trying for two years prior to the break). After several medicated cycles in years prior, this one was a natural "what the hell" kind of cycle.
I was sure I wasn't pregnant. My ovaries were aching, my boobs were not sore (and they usually are sore right after I ovulate). I tested at 10dpo and it was BFN. We were leaving for Orlando for a 5-day vacation and I was happy that I could at least ride the roller coasters. The HPT was just staring at me, so I POAS and there was a faint line. My chin hit the floor, I was shocked and didn't believe my eyes.
I tested 2 days later and it was obviously positive.
I still don't believe it and I'm 7 weeks today.

Congrats, Mama. :)

And to the rest of you as well.
Its such an odd happening, and yet, not odd at all.

This was our first month TTC. I had been charting for 3 months, and was really aware of my cycles. 3DPO I started to feel strange, suddenly I was constipated and I had heartburn. My breasts suddenly got really big and sore(36c to 38D in a day). The following week, I started getting dizzy. I never had PMS that bad before. I knew that I either needed to get check out for a horrible hormonal imbalance, or I was pregnant. 10 DPO I POAS, and sure enough there was a faint line. The next day I did it again and sure enough I was preggers!!!!

How we knew we were pregnant...

DH: Wanna get it on?
Me: Yay! But it is that fertile time of month, so perhaps we should use protection..?
DH: We're infertile without medical assistance, remember?
Me: Oh, yeah. You realise that because you said that we'll totally get pregnant, right?
DH: Yep

*nookie*

I realised the next morning that I was pregnant. Six days later, implantation spotting. Then I had to wait an whole extra freakin' week because I ordered cheapie tests over the internet and they NEVER CAME. They're still not here!

It felt surreal to me this time.. so I didn't know, but I felt like I was for many reasons:

ugh.. smells.. that's all I have to say about that.
Emotional breakdown (which happens everytime for me.. usually during a movie.)
Peeing A LOT.
Nausea
EXHAUSTION!

Sure enough.. took a first response 5 days earlier test.. and voila! :+

lol these stories are great! okay so my story:

DH and i were trying since november, i had been charting my cycle, etc, etc. well after his last visit in march, we talked about it and decided to wait to try and have a baby, put it in God's hands, the like. i moved down to be with him at the end of march and i still had some OPKs so i just took them for the heck of it when i knew i would be ovulating (i had stopped charting). we were gonna get it on anyway so it's not like it was a deciding factor! that weekend we were in central florida and i told him then "i don't think i'm pregnant." and he was like "ok." well then the NEXT week rolls around and it's saturday and we're on Citywalk watching Grindhouse, and all day i had been having daydreams and stuff and thinking about the PT i had leftover in my purse and whether i should take it. i was watching the movie and it came to the part at the end where he says "...I never miss." and besides being unable to keep a straight face, that was when i REALLY started thinking i WAS PG. DH and i ended up getting into a fight the next morning & when he left to get food i POAS. i was expecting a BFN, but i wanted to get the test out of my purse and the thoughts out of my system. imagine my surprise! i thought it was broken so when DH came home i made him take me to go get another test, which all came back positive! that was on sunday:)

Belleweather, you and I have similar "ways" we got pregnant. :lol

We have been thinking about a third child for a while now, but never quite figured out when the "right" time would be. Well, I suppose it became the right time when we knew it wasn't a safe time to be DTD and we went ahead and did it anyway. We haven't been quite that...um, careless?...in several YEARS (since that's how my 3 year old was conceived). :o

The first 2 tests I took were negative, but all subsequent tests (!!!) have rendered very, very light positive lines. I figure all the tests can't be defective, so I've stopped peeing on sticks for the moment. :D

My sense of smell is also CRAZY, and my digestive system is really out of whack. Plus I want to eat every damn thing in sight.

DH and I started talking about it in January. I went off the pill. I just started my period in February because I was and am still nursing my DD. I thought because I just started and my cycles are way out of wack there is no way I can get pg that quickly.... well sure enough come April I started getting VERY emotional and VERY particular on certain foods. Took a test and came back faint positive didn't believe it and took 4 other test.... all positive:)

Let's see: I passed out, hit my head, 2 days later had MASSIVE diarrhea (no BM for 4 days). Told everyone my story, most said must be prego. Then tender breasts. Bought cheap test. POAS, and voila STRONG positive. Wanna see a pic (http://www.geocities.com/treecemoore/sunp0026.jpg)?

i started crying watching a rerun of The Wonder Years of all things. it was the episode where kevin told his mom off to stop babying him and they showed this whole montage of him like taking his first steps and stuff and then to add insult to injury they played the song my mom used to sing to me when i was little, oh i lost it lol then like a day later i woke up and my breasts had gotten so much larger over night that it felt like i was wearing a sports bra the skin was so tight. i finally decided to test when i got to be a week and a half late and had even told people hey i'm late and still no period. (99% of the time if i'm late and i tell someone my flow shows up like an hour later so thats usually my first test. if i tell someone i'm late and theres no flow i get a test lol)

Hmmm, 2weeks late, feeling weird. First response SHOUTED a :+ and bam, here I am feeling like I'm 15 and telling my parents I'm all knocked up. (they took it a lot better at 36 than they would have at 15!) I guess "feeling weird" IS a diagnosable condition! :wink :wink

:lol Is it gross that I still have mine in my jewelry box... and ds is now 15 months old?

I have mine from 5 years ago and I MAY even have my 8 year old's positive test.

Anywhoo, MY story is, after TTC since October, I had used Dong Quai to get my hormones in check and it lengthened my cycles from 28 to 35 days. I was pouting over that because that meant less times I could TTC.

I bought some ovulation predictor kits to help me get this whole thing straightened out. I'd felt for two months like I was ovulating TWICE a month. So anyway, well past when I thought I would be, I was testing.

At 10pm my hubby (who was exhausted!) was fast asleep when I went to the bathroom and realized I'd left a test sitting unread all day. It was positive for ovulation.

I woke him up to tell him I'd goofed and was ovulating. He rolled over - with his eyes closed! - and pointed downward and said with a sigh, "Get yourself pregnant." It was too funny to resist. Well I hopped on and really had to work for that sucker.

I knew immediately. Within 10-14 days my boobs were sore, etc..

I thought I had diabetes...frequent urination, frequent feelings of low blood sugar, exhaustion. I was really irritable with dh, went to bed mad, he slept in the other room and when I woke up at 4 a.m. I just *knew*. Got up, POAS and the positive was there before it was out of the urine stream.

I had also lost all my boobs, although I'm still nursing (I have no boobs during pg) and had sore nipples, but I thought these were b/c ds was weaning and teething.

We dtd on his bday. We weren't planning another, but we hadn't done anything permanent, or apparently even effective :shy, to prevent another, so surprise! DD will be 4 in Oct, ds will be 2 in Nov, and this one will be here in Dec. We are fertile in spring apparently.

I knew because it was tender when my girls latched on to nurse. That's what made me suspect.

We needed lots of help to conceive our twins, but after we DTD when we conceived this baby, DH said he thought we'd made a baby. He thinks it's another girl, too, so we'll see . . .
