I stumbled across this book "Compassionate Souls" by JoAnne Farb. It talks about her choices she made for becoming a more compassionate individual and how she is passing on these beliefs to her children. She is a strong believer in Homeschooling, Breastfeeding,Natural Childbirth, Homebirth, and Veganism.
This is a must read for anyone with children!

I put it in my lending library for the support group I started in my area ,Families for Natural Living.I think she must have had a big head start,we would have to make a lot of changes to do all she does .
Makes you strive a little more,I bought the cookbook she mentions,FEEDING THE WHOLE FAMILY.It is pretty good,I bought Polenta!Will try to eat it soon!

I had this book, read it, loved it, loaned it out and never saw it again. :(
I'm glad you brought it up. I really enjoyed this book. Ms. Farb head some interesting, thought provoking ideas and I would love to read it again. I may just order a new copy.
