Gabry, you and your DH, Froilan, are such wonderful hosts!
The sunny back yard was perfect for the kids to play while we talked. The table at lunch was a full spread of breads, cheese, meat, fruits (mmmmm those strawberries), salad and pastries. Your neighborhood and town are lovely for walking and sightseeing...thank you for making sure I made it to the Chocolate shop! And the park with the outdoor tables to have drinks was the perfect end to the day for all of us (kids and adults).
Angela it was nice to meet you and Wobbe, you are a cool mama traveling with your backpack and baby in a wrap, visiting friends across countries! and thanks again for letting me know about the other methods of schooling offered here.
Championship match of the day - in the light-weight division:
Kieren Vs Wobbe ! (the crowd goes wild)
there wasn't much action at first as they sized each other up, then suddenly Kieren was on the offense going for the ear-grab (his signature move), but Wobbe broke free....and it was a draw! too much excitement!
On the way home Zuzu said, 'I have a good idea' 'next week, when we go to Yanek's house we can bring my bicycle with us'
Um, since when do the kids make play dates without telling us?!! :lol
Oh, yes, Froilan was talking about ways to help kids during play, for example intervening to give them the tools help resolve conflict as opposed to letting them resolve conflict on their own...it was interesting, and I meant to ask if that was a theory/something he had read specifically, or something he has heard/learned while parenting?
I hope we do meet up again soon!
