I knew a guy named Arden - I think it's an okay name for a guy and I wouldn't use it for a girl.

That's tough, I like it either way! We have 4 girls so I'm having a hard time with girl names. I think I've convinced my husband that if we have a boy I don't mind his name but don't want it to be a 4th cause he is a 3rd. I would like to put my dad's name as a middle name.

I like it for either! It's a win-win situation. If it's a boy, name him Arden... a girl, name her Arden. To make it sound more masculine or feminine you could have a more gender associative middle name.

My family really likes the name Hayden, half of them for a boy, half for a girl. This name thing is starting to drive me crazy though!

I really like the name Arden. It makes me think of "ardent" a great word with a meaning I like. Sort of like Imogen, which I *think* we've chosen for a girl--it reminds me of "Imagine".

I like it for both, except "Arden" is a well-known area and a street around where I live, so it would be like naming my kid Main (as in street). Lol.

Otherwise, it's got my vote.

The only Arden I ever knew was a girl, so I vote girl.

I LOVE it, for a girl; it's been on my list forever...but it's too matchy with my last name. Oh, pooh.

I think it's a really cute name.. I thought of girl because of the makeup too. But I can see it working for a boy also.

The only person I've heard of named that is Arden Myrin (who I love) on Mad TV, so that's why I would think girl.

I think it can work well for either. I think I was going for boy when I first saw it on the thread, but I didn't respond then and now I don't remember! :lol I think it's a great name. :)
