Belly band/support/sling-thingys

Pardon if this has been posted before. I was at a garage sale expo this weekend and by the end my round ligaments were in so much pain. It was recommended I get a belly band for my trip in May where I plan to do a lot of walking. Does anyone recommend one? I am an 18W so it needs to be generous around the hips.

My midwife recommends the wide Postpartum Belts from Babies R Us, or any store really, as long as they're the 8" wide ones. I hooked two together toward the end of my pregnancy last time. They help with support, and of course can be used afterward too.
