I though I would come and introduce myself, I'm Elaina wife to Ryan and mommy to 2 1/2 month old Kristopher. He was diagnosed with a heart defect at 3 weeks old and needed surgery and since then I have felt that I couldnt do anything with him naturally since he is fed by feeding tube and i was dead set on breastfeeding and then he was in the hospital for the past month we couldnt co sleep or anything like that. Well today I found out quite by surprise that I'm pregnant again. Due January 6th. I'm worried because of my sons problems. This baby was in no way planned but its not a bad thing. I'm actually quit excited about it. We always wanted our children to be close in age and I think they will grow up with a special bond. I cant wait to get back in and join all of you expectant ladies.

Wow---congratulations on the new pregnancy! I think there are so many benefits of having them either close together or spaced out---you just have to find joy in what you have.
Welcome!

Hello Eliana Bell, congratulations on your pregnancy!
I think it's natural to feel worried after your experience with your first. Does it help to hear that this new baby will have a different genetic composition than ds#1, that even your body is different chemically now than it was with ds#1? I'm sure ds#1 (and bb#2) will thrive beautifully on the nourishment you provide him/them (in whatever form that takes) and on your love. Being a good mommy is about many things! :hug
