ha! I'm gonna start the first name thread!
Am I the only one already pouring through baby name websites? What are your leading candidates?
Girl: Evelyn Rose, second would be Morgan Fianna
Boy: Leading are Adrian and Malcolm, though neither feel right.

Evelyn is my mom's name!!!!
I have this overwhelming feeling it's twin girls! YIKES!! But even if it's only one, EVERYONE, including me thinks it's a girl....and we can't agree on ANY boy names yet anyway, so let's hope it's a girl if that keeps up!
1 Girl--Alexandra Marie
2 Girls---Jordyn Marie & Alexandra Lynn (Marie is 1st priority middle name, Alexandra is 1st priority first name, but Jordyn Lynn doesn't go as well)

I learned my daughter's name during meditation, but it's a secret. :wink
Should it be a boy, I'm leaning towards Logan Derek right now.

For a boy we're probably going with either Jack Jonas or Jonas Jack (my grandfather was Jack) but I'm slap out of girl names having used up my favorites on the first two. We'll have to come up with some more.

Its going to take this entire pregnancy to come up with names!! Both of my boys' were so easy. My first is dh's g-pa's first names who had passed before Paul Edwin was born. Henry I saw in a magazine and fell in love with and his middle name is my g-pas, Henry Louis. Now I'm stuck, if its a girl the middle name is for sure going to be Margaret Rose, I love the name Olivia, but dh isn't too keen on it. I really like old fashioned names. Thank goodness we've got time before s/he makes the arrival!

We've had our boys names picked out since before we got married. Girls names were a bit trickier, but we've already agreed on one if this one is a girl. We also don't give our girls middle names. It's kind of a family tradition. My mother and her sisters didn't have middle names, and me and my sisters didn't either.
Our daughters are Kathryn and Danielle, if this baby is a girl, she'll be Christine.
If this one is a boy he'll be Jackson McNeil (my mother's maiden name)
Our other boys names are: Matthew James, Benjamin David, and Joshua Edward. Their middle names are all family names.
Emily
I think we just picked our boy name (man was that hard!)... Wrenner Talay.
Girl names don't matter because we are having a boy ;)

We really need to start thinking about names. We had both of our dogs for over a week before they had names :lol and kids names are a lot more important, so I know it won't be easy.

I love Natalia Jane for a girl and Patrick John or Emerson John for a boy. Dh is really into the name Addison Jane for a girl. There is not one boys name that he likes, so that is our current challenge. Thank goodness we have more time :lol

OMG - Margaret Rose is one of our top picks for a girl name. :lol Great minds think alike.
I also like Henry for a boy, but DH doesn't like it. If it's another boy I'll try for a family name as DS was named after the previous three generations. (he's IV) but because I didn't get to play the name game with him I'm going to have a BLAST picking out names for #2!

My husband and I haven't even started talking about this yet, and we don't intend to learn the gender of the baby (though I dreamed it was a girl)..
but here's a fun webtool that lets you see how popular a name has been over the past 100 years.
You can limit it to boy or girl names, then type in just one letter to see all the registered names starting with that letter, or part of a name, or all of a name. Sad thing, it doesn't have the really rare ones, but it's really cool to see the cycles of popularity!
Baby name voyager (http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html) it's a java applet, give it a few seconds to load, start typing after it gets all pink&blue lines.

haha...Margaret and Rose are two of my SIL's. In fact, if it's a girl, her middle name will be Rose, as Rose's daughter's middle name is Ashley (coincidental, I didn't know them yet). Rose, like the pope, can speak ex cathedra, so when she yells out "MAGDALENA ASHLEY!" I jump. I figured I'll repay the favor.

I have NO clue on a girl's name! You'd think that after 2 boys we'd have one saved up, but we never really talked about names until we knew what we were having (not finding out this time though). DH has loved Jessica since my stepdaughter was born 14 years ago, but I'm not really that fond of it. I want something more unique.
I really, really wanted DS#2's name to be Hayden Cole, but DH was just "eh" about it so we went with my second choice (Riley Cole). This time though, I'm hoping he'll take "pity" on me for ending up with 3 boys and let me use it. :lol But since we already used Cole as a middle name, I'm thinking Hayden Alexander.

Vincent just made our short list. I really like it, it fits all my criteria.
The problem is, my last name is Price. Do I really want to have a little Vincent Price?
What do you think? Great name, great namesake? Or is it too "naming a kid after a celebrity" (I SWEAR I wasn't trying to do that...but it's like having the last name Walken and then naming a son Christopher)

I don't have the celebrity-name problem, but our last name starts with an A and it really seems to limit a lot of girls' names because so many of them end with A. For example, I love the name Emma, but Emma A____ doesn't seem to flow well because the A's run together. I wonder if I could get away with it, or if I should just avoid anything that ends in A?
I think Vincent Price would be fine... maybe some people won't catch it? I think it's better than doing something that sounds odd with the last name, like Christopher Walken.

I just used Christopher Walken as an example because he's a generally awesome, well respected, and kooky celebrity. LIke Vincent Price. I really really like the name Vince right now. We'll see if it sticks around.
I'm just afraid people will think that name is ridiculous as an adult. I'm not worried about being mocked as a kid too much, because it happens no matter what. But if someone interviewing him for a job sees "Vincent Price" and cracks up, that's bad.

I have no clue on a boys name. We had a heck of a time coming up with one for ds2, but we thought for sure he was girl (didn't find out just had a feeling) that we didn't worry about it. Well, he was not a girl! We named him Sebastian, just because I had seen it somewhere recently and liked it, but I wasn't sure it was right for several months! So, I would like to avoid doing that again :)
However, I've had girls names that I love for oh, about 6 years now: Ivy Mae, Ruby Mae or Indigo Elizabeth.
We also use family names for middle names.

I love thinking about names!!! I have a few names that have been floating around in my mind. Many of the names are for either a boy or a girl:
Jules Pierre
Cosima
Chesire
Io
I also like Ziska...it is short for franziska.....
I think that is all. My daughter's name is Bela Nixe....sometimes we spell it with 2 lls and sometimes with one. Nixe is an old German word for mermaid.
