I'm trying to find cool fabrics for making baby clothes - anyone know where I can get some? I'm particularly looking for organic cotton fabrics. Thanks!

What kind of co-op? Are there specific craft co-ops?
I went to the fabric store yesterday and got a basic layette pattern - I'm just getting started with sewing for babies. I was really disappointed in the selection of stretch knits, and I wasn't even particular about organic (they didn't have any). What I wanted was a few different colors (green, blue, red, off-white) with that heathery texture. I only found blue. It's not the biggest fabric store, so maybe I'll have to try somewhere else.
Anybody order fabric or yarn online? The selection seems better, but I have a hard time ordering something I haven't felt.

Have you checked out diaperfabric.com? They have a nice selection of organic knits. I have not ordered from them before, but it looks like they have great stuff!

Unfortunately, you won't be finding many cute knit in the B&M fabric stores. And I'd drop dead to EVER see something organic at one! LOL Definitely co-ops are the way to go. I know of one Organic Co-op right now; Angelina just closed the sherpa co-op, but there are others open.
This is the link to her group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/organicfabrics/
Here are some other co-ops that I purchase from regularly; these are all great mamas to work with!:
