I have a little pooch, but overall, I can still fit in most of my clothes and don't look pregnant to other people at all. My belly is about even with my boobs now unless I kind of suck it in (which amazingly I can still kind of manage!) I had more of a flat tummy when standing before getting pregnant. So, I know I've grown some. But I know I was wearing maternity by 15 weeks with dd2 and I have a picture of myself at 16 weeks with dd1 comfortably wearing maternity clothes with a cute little baby belly. Will I really grow that much in the next 1.5-2.5 weeks that I will look cute in maternity clothes? I kind of doubt it. It's starting to worry me a little that I'm not growing much with this one. I also have lost 2-3 lbs. in the last month or so (and overall) and I know I had gained a solid 5 lbs. by this point with my other pregnancies, so I imagine that has something to do with it.

I wore my non maternity jean shorts today and felt a little crampy from them cutting into my uterus area and I noticed tonight when I was crouched down to get something out from under my stroller, the baby did not like being so cramped and was wriggling.

Anyway, I guess I'm ready to start showing. Anyone else feeling the same way?

Me! My pants aren't even getting tight yet. I think with ds I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until closer to 20 weeks but I thought it was quicker with the second? I was kind of worried about weight gain too. I've lost two pounds and my morning sickness really hasn't been so bad this time-I'm defintely eating.

My friend just loaned me two full bags of maternity clothes and I was so excited. But it looks like it'll be while before I get to wear them :)

Me too. I've been wondering about this. It's my first, so I don't have any comparison. I'm pretty bloated, and I switched to maternity pants (which are falling off me) a few weeks ago because my regular pants were causing major gas and were uncomfortable, but I don't think anyone would look at me and think - she's pregnant! I'm looking forward to it!

I am with ya ladies. I am 14 weeks and now that the major bloating has past I cant tell much difference. My daughter is 8 and I honestly dont remember when I started showing with her. It's funny how it changes in the day. Is anyone else this way? I wake up flat tummied and then feel the shooting and stretching discomfort up my sides, then have a little pooch by evening when everthing is all loose..lol.

I have such a pudgy belly anyway, I perpetually look 4 mos pregnant. :lol But no, I'm not looking a whole lot bigger than normal. Only clothes that were snug before are too small now. Can't say that I mind, plus size maternity clothes are hard to come by and pricey!

YES! It actually really bugs me! When people find out I'm pregnant, I hear often, "you're not even showing yet!" I have a small frame, but my butt and thighs are definitely bigger than pre-pregnancy... although it probably isn't noticable to people in general... My tummy isn't really that much different, and I am still wearing all non-maternity. I'm kind of surprised since this is pregnancy #2. My first (and last) pregnancy, people were telling me until the very end, "you're hardly showing!" I think that is why it is already bugging me this time around. It drove me CRAZY because I felt like I had worked so hard throughout pregnancy to eat while feeling terrible, etc. etc. ONE person, a good friend of mine from college, who I saw at a wedding that I was in (she and her husband moved away but came back for the holidays and wedding--we hadn't seen each other during my pregnancy until then, at about 34 weeks) told DH that I was "huge"--he told her to make sure to tell me that! She did, and I was so happy I wanted to kiss her! :) I've already started whining to DH that people are telling me, "you're not even showing" and he encourages me to say, "yes, I am" very matter of factly. I don't know if I could do it with a straight face, though!! Maybe later after I am thoroughly annoyed. :)

Um, no. I don't feel like I'm not really showing yet. :lol I've gained 5 pounds! Nausea, shmausea!!

But there is a lady at work that keeps saying "You just don't look like you're pregnant to me yet." Does she WANT to see me naked? It's annoying. So I sort of know how you feel.

It takes a lot to make me laugh aloud when I'm at the computer (I do chuckle a lot, however!)....but that definitely got me!!!! :lol

I can definitely tell, but most people can't. I've only gained 1-2 lbs, and that's depending on the time of day I was weighed! I'm strictly in maternity pants now, could probably squeeze into my non-maternity, but it's so darned uncomfortable and really increases my indigestion and heartburn, so i just wear the maternity even though it's a bit too big. Comfort over fashion!! :lol

This thread made my day! I wore maternity pants for the first time today because my only two pairs of pants that still fit were in the wash. One of my coworkers noticed and said, "You still don't look pregnant to me!" :splat When I told her I was pregnant last week she actually said, "Lift up your shirt, let me see!" Argh!

It makes me feel better that my DH has noticed the baby bump for several weeks now...it's not just me!

I have a preggo spot on my belly but normally the pregnancy this early anyway is just an excuse to let the REAL GUT hang out.....:lol

You all are making me feel better. Yes, Jojo, I do have more of a belly at night, but still not enough to make me look pregnant. And I must have been at least slightly bloated (though I never gained any weight) because I feel like my regular clothes are fitting me better now than they were a few weeks ago.

Nicole, I agree some, but not totally. What belly I have now, is tough for me to suck in like I would normally. And where I'm normally have pudge below the belly button, now I have pudge above my belly button from all my organs getting shoved up. So, I guess it's not really all pudge, but it's not enough for me to look pregnant.

with Theo I didn't look Pregant in month 7 when we started pernatal classes :) and didn't look "due" at teh hosptial :)

I have a tummy -- and you can see it in a bathing suit or naked.

clothing covers it -- i have some jeans i can't wear any more... but some i can.

I did get out teh maturinty shorts from teh basement -- i dont need them per se buttttt i was not pulling a box of not preggo clothing up, washing it, wearing it a while, then haveing to take it back and get the preggo box out and wash it too -- i just am wearing what will stay on me out of the preggo stuff.

Nah, I just look like your average North American now (no offense I hope). DH keeps telling me that I look sooo pregnant, but then we go for walks and I point at people (discreetly) and say "Do you think she's pregnant?" over and over again. After a while he realized that yeah, for me, I look a bit preggo, esp. in the evening, but most people would have no clue.

I retract my earlier posts. In the last 24 hours I think my body was aware of my posting on here saying I was not showing. I seem to have spontaneously gotten a stomach overnight. Freakin karma.:lol

Me too! I put on a cute maternity top today and it looked ridiculous, so I put a good ole T back on! And I have on some demi panel gap pants on that are falling off me, lol.

i felt like only bloat was "showing" for a really long time, but since monday i feel like my belly's gotten a little more defined -- and hard! i've been waking up with the small tum that i can't suck in, which was definitely not true last week, when i would still wake up fairly skinny and could suck a good deal in.

i haven't been able to wear my pants (which admittedly are very fitted) comfortably in weeks now. first they FIT but were just uncomfortable, now they don't button even and if i want to wear them to teach in or something i have to use the rubber band trick. but still i prefer to live in skirts and dresses, which is what i plan on doing all summer anyway. i'm so glad it's finally nice enough out to do so!

i don't know if it's because i normally have a completely flat stomach or what, but i did NOT expect to be showing already. but i saw a friend i hadn't see in two weeks for lunch yesterday and as soon as she saw me, she gasped and was like, "you're totally showing!" but i know people who didn't know what my stomach looked like before don't notice at all -- i was part of a focus group last night and the fact that i was pregnant came up and everyone was shocked. i was like "i'm wearing an empire-waisted dress and a bulky sweater, guys.":lol

I just look like a lard-butt. :( I can't wait to look pregnant! I am in maternity pants or drawstring pants but it is sorta an all-over belly fatness. I seem to have a top belly and a bottom belly- 2 rolls, one above my belly button and one below it. It looks freakish. I can't wait till I look actually pregnant and not just like I ate too much dinner. :shy
