Things to do with 3 year old in Cairo?

My family (DH, my mom, dad, sister, 3 year old DS and I) are leaving for Giza/Cairo in a month. We'll be spending a week there, first three days in Giza at the Mena House and last four days in downtown Cairo, I think at the Hyatt? My dad is arranging the trip. I'm wondering if there are folks here from Cairo or who have been there who might have suggestions about family-friendly activities or places to eat? Also, I would love some advice on what to wear - I'm concerned about not offending people, but am also worried about the heat - it will be around 95 there and I'll be 20 weeks pregnant! Anyway, I would love to hear from folks!

i am also travelling to cairo in july and i can tell you that the heat is almost unbearable!]i would suggest wearing cotton cloths and nothing tight ad open sandels with a large sun hat,drink lots of water and you may find wearing long sleeve cotton tops that are a bit baggy
