View Full Version : How similar were your pregnancies?

I probably should wait a few months to post this, but I'm curious now, so what the heck. :)
My first two pregnancies were very similar. I had more BH early on with my second, and I also felt him move sooner, but I'm assuming that's because it was a second pregnancy. This time, everything feels the same again so far. I've heard of people saying the pregnancy was different for different genders of kids. i.e. someone I know had no m/s with her boys, but was sick every day with her girl.
Just curious, since I'm hoping for a girl and was (being silly of course) hoping for some "overt" sign that this pregnancy is different. Since I'm leaving the gender a surprise, it's going to be a long 34 more weeks.... :lol

My pregnancies were similar overall, but with some small differences...with dd, I had medium nausea and brutal fatigue during the first trimester, but felt great until the last few weeks, where heartburn and sore hips came into play. With ds, I had heartburn practically the WHOLE pregnancy (no fun - was on Ranitadine), sore hips from the 2nd trimester on, but the nausea and fatigue were less. This time, I have less fatigue (although I might be just used to being sleep deprived :lol ), and so far, NO nausea (knock on wood). Other than the fact that I had a BFP on Saturday and I haven't had a period in 6 weeks, I wouldn't even know I'm pregnant!

I would have to say, that so far, this is the LEAST nauseating pregnancy i've had... I have only girls... so far. ;-)

Well the pregnancies with my boys were so easy. No m/s, beautiful skin, no braxton hicks, nothing. It was so nice. Now this one I've got horrible skin and can barely keep anything down. Which is hard trying to wrangle two wild boys. But I'll manage.:lol

My pg with my son was really quite easy. Very little morning sickness and some exhaustion, but pretty much a walk in the park. This one's been quite a bit more different and I've gone between pretty much incapacitating nausea 24/7 to nausea 24/7 that's at least a little bit more manageable.

I think both of my first two pregnancies were very similar except that things happened earlier with #2 (maternity clothes, feeling movement etc). I didn't do a good job at writing things down with #2 so I've forgotten a lot of it. My first pregnancy I kept all sorts of journals but when DD 2 came along her sister was 18 months old and didn't leave me much time for such things. :lol So far I'd guess everything is going about the same as it did with my last two or maybe a bit easier.
