Who else is already addicted to Spiritual Midwifery?

I admit I never finished reading this book with my last pregnancy, and recently picked it up again and can't put it down! Once DH and I chuckled our way past the first super cruchy spiritual-"feel your inner monkey ora"-hippy-dippy-ness of it, It has been so awesome and informative. I love reading the birth stories over and over again. And I love to see that someone else besides my midwife actually uses the word "yoni" :lol

I LOVED it too!!! DH and I also had some good laughs about the hippy-dippy-ness of it all.

I'm a Bradley Teacher wanna-be (I'm a provisional teacher, but I haven't taught a class yet), and I started reading it while I was doing my Bradley homework.

It's just wonderful! And in the second section, there's a drawing of the uterus within the pelvis that shows all the ligaments that is the best drawing I've ever seen to show where everything is. The angle is so beautiful I plan to use it when I start teaching.

Have you read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth? It's not as hippy-dippy, but it's also wonderful. The chapter on Sphincters is a must-read.

I read that book so many times during my last pregnancy that I haven't picked it up yet this pregnancy because I think I have the whole book memorized!!:lol

I love that book. Like, I want to marry it.
