Can anyone with experience with having an anterior placenta let me know if it makes an ultrasound more difficult to see? I guess I would assume they adjust things to make up for having to partially look through the placenta to see baby, but I was just curious. Ive had 3 other babies, and never had an anterior placenta.

Thanks!

It didn't affect it at all for me with the last pregnancy. The only differences I was told to expect were I could possibly not feel the baby as much and it could be a little more difficult to pick up the babe's heartbeat. Neither of these things happened, though.

I found out my placenta was anterior at my u/s. The tech had zero trouble seeing the baby.

This pregnancy is my second anterior placenta.

I felt movement late both times and had a hard time finding the heartbeats over the placenta noise (pre-25 weeks, after that no difficulty), but no trouble with ultrasounds.
