Gymboree has several little Gymmies on sale for $8 or so, and there is also an extra 20% off code, if you can find one on-line. I happened to have one, and decided to go ahead and buy a few since I kept nothing from my girls. I got 7 Gymmies and 2 hats for $47! Now, I have 2 friends who are PG, and these are going to make great shower gifts, if I don't need all of them. Can't wait for them to get here! The little Christmas ones were only $3.50 each! (I got 2 of those, they will make a great gift for the one due in December).
Have you bought anything yet? I am hoping this makes me a bit more excited about the new baby, since it's such a shock.

I caved last pregnancy (ended in MC) and bought one maternity top for myself, I can't wait to wear it! And this pregnancy, since I'm convinced it's gonna be a sticky bean (on account of my severe preggo symptoms), so while at Marshall's the other day shopping for my baby niece I found the cutest knit onesie for a newborn. It is unisex and handmade in Italy, and absolutely gorgeous and well made. I admit I paid $30 for it, but it retails for $90 so I figured I would splurge since I plan on it being my newborns first outfit after he/she is born and I want it to be extra special.

I haven't bought anything, which has actually surprised me! Okay, I take that back- I bought myself a candle. I figured I better get **something** to celebrate, after all, two years of trying is a long time!

:lol It's fun to shop for ourselves and our babes, isn't it? I like the candle idea, Eloise.
I bought bb#2 a chewy book for teething time and a bath book. Dd#1 saw the chewy book and asked, "Mine?" (she's two yrs old). "No, that's for the new baby," I told her. "No! MINE!!! MINE BABY!!!" :lol Bb#2 is not even born yet and already she's fighting with her. :lol So funny!

I haven't yet. I'm going to start buying some of our diapers (fuzzi bunz and the hemp inserts) throughout this pregnancy, but I told dh tonight I am not going to buy anything for the baby until we find out what the sex is. And when we find out, we'll be stopping at the store on the way home! :lol

We did the same thing! After both our ultrasounds when we found out we were expecting girls, we stopped at BabiesRUs and picked up something pink... just for fun. :)

I have a small box of baby things that I started to accumulate last year. I work for the Gymboree play/music program so my discount makes it kinda hard NOT to buy something!
I am leaving there in July though, so I should probably stock up now huh?

I have been gathering things for the last year. My first pregnancy finally occurred in Septemeber, and during the time I was pregnant, I didnt buy anything. I was given some hand-me-downs, but that is it. I lost that baby. This time I went out and bought a sleeper right away. And I also bought a little dress at the thrift store. Plus, tucked in my closet is a baby swing and a bunch of maternity clothes I have collected. And, I have a dresser so full of clothes, that I have had to start putting new stuff into the closet. Oh, and in the garage, one of those bubble like carriers to attach to a bike. I got that for $25.00 at a thrift store. It is barely used.
For not having any kids, I have so much stuff. I am PRAYING for a sticky baby so I can put it all to good use!

I haven't bought anything yet but I want to so badly. I don't want anyone to know yet though so I can't buy anything at the stores closest to me as they all know me. I'll probably buy something online soon though :)

I haven't bought anything yet either but I'm pretty sure I'll start buying cloth diaper stuff early on since it'll be my first CD'ed child and I've got nothing! Now I just have to find my way through the maze of CD options. It's all changed soooo much from the days when my baby brother was wearing giant diaper pins and rubber pants (traumatic diaper changing experiences when I was 8 kept me from CD'ing my first two). Aside from that I might end up waiting till I know if its a boy or girl since I still have plenty of girl things though I'm sure I'll end up buying some gender neutral onesies and such.

I got a great deal on a Dutalier glider on craigslist with a matching nursing ottoman. That is my only splurge so far. My mom is coming next weekend and she wants to go shopping for the baby (Ill be 8 weeks, heh) so hopefully things dont get out of control.

I haven't bought anything yet. Not finding out the sex is going to drive me so crazy! Since I already have 2 boys, if it's another boy I won't really need anything. I'll probably get at least one cute outfit that's just his (that's what I did for DS#2, in addition to things people gave us). If it's a girl, I'll definitely be shopping for clothes, but obviously not until after she's born. I already have all the "big" items (carseat, high chair, stroller, etc), a complete :cd: stash and tons of slings - darn it, I want to shop! I guess not really needing much is normal when you're expecting your 3rd though. :lol

Ok, what is a Gymmie? I looked at the site right now and I don't see what that is. :duck: :) I've only ever bought in-store from them so I'm not really sure of all the names and things :)

A Gymmie is what they call thier jammies. I looked last night and everything I bought was sold out now, but there were some cute 2-pc. outfits that are on sale for $8.99, and there is a 20% off sale this weekend (supposedly). I LOVE Gymboree, but refuse to pay for it! I always just check out the cheapest stuff. My package should arrive today! I can't wait to open it up! I know I am giving some of it as baby gifts to some PG friends :D Anyone else DYING to know the gender? I don't really like the GN stuff much, and found I didn't put it on my girls often, so I am waiting and only buying stuff I can get really cheap right now. When we find out the gender (hopefully in AUgust!) I will start in really getting things ready. We really don't talk about names until after we know, either. This time I am thinking Emily or Lauren for a girl? Maybe Lexi? and I have no ideas for boy names except Ryland which I picked out for DD#1 years ago.

This is just my 2nd, but I really don't feel like we need anything! I don't know yet if we'll find out gender----if it is a girl it might just lead to over-shopping the thrift stores! If I don't know, then I might temper my purchasing, only getting 4-5 girly sleepers or something. The only reason I'd like to know is so that I can take the time to knit some girly covers, but I could always sell them if not needed, right? Really, though, I'd just use them anyway. :p
I do need a carseat, but my sister's son is outgrowing his roundabout so I think I'm going to buy that off of her---I know the seat's history, the ONLY way I'd buy used. We're still talking about whether or not to baby bucket. That would be a purchase, but I don't think I want one this time--DS HATED it.
