Anyone ever experience slow rising HCG levels, where they didn't double in the 48-72hr 'norm period', but yet ended up having a normal pregnancy? I haven't found too much positive info about this online. But it would be encouraging to know that I'm not the only one:)

My OB actually checks through u/s rather than blood work for this very reason. (although I had infertility issues, maybe this is why) He said that plenty of women don't have doubling HCG #s and their pregnancies are normal, so he goes by u/s, not HCG numbers! :) There's plenty of hope!

I just went through this.
I started spotting at 6 weeks, so my doctor sent me to get my numbers tested. They only went up a little over 2000 in 48 hours (first # was 37,000 and some odd, and the second # was 39,000 and some odd). I was nervous b/c I expected the second number to be atleast 70 some thousand. So then I was sent for an u/s. That came back perfect, with me measuring right on, and a nice heartbeat. Turns out the bleeding was a subchronic hemotoma. When I asked my doctor about what the numbers meant, he said they don't always mean a while lot. Especially after a heartbeat has been detected... so for me not to even worry about it. That was about 5 weeks ago, and since then, we've even been able to hear the hb by doppler (at 10 weeks). So everything seems fine now.

When this first happened to me, I went online and pretty much everything I found was negative. Talking to my doctor really eased my worries.
Good luck to you!
