View Full Version : Girls and Boys Together! (First guesses!)

Anyone willing to hazard a guess at this point? Or just post your hopes? :lol I'm hoping for a boy for the sake of balance-- I have one boy and two girls already, so another boy means two of each. I like balance and organization. (Yes, I am a Libra :lol)
My son (we haven't told him yet) has been saying that we need to have another baby "When Bella is two, because she won't be able to be the baby anymore then." He wants another girl, because he likes being the only boy and he likes protecting his sisters. :lol I don't think BooBah would care one way or the other, and Bella will only care in that she'll no doubt be jealous-- she gets all up in my face whenever I hold another baby. :lol

I hit "enter" too quickly, but I wanted to add the "don't care" option. :lol When I was pregnant with my first people used to ask me if I wanted a boy or a girl and I'd say, "Yes, hopefully the baby will be one or the other." :lol So, if that's how you feel... there's 'other'. :o

I'm about 75% sure that this is a girl baby, but I'd prefer a boy. DH is sure it's a boy baby, but wants a girl. Ultimately, as long as neither mathematics or puppies are involved, we're happy :throb

I'm hoping for a girl, but not planning on any sort of high-tech intervention to find out, just chinese birth charts, draino tests, psychics, etc.
I already have one of each and I like the way "little dd" rolls off my keyboard. I also have a girl's name I LOVE and a list of boy's names that are okay, so it's just easier right now to think of this little person, who I am already madly in love with, as a girl.
I guess it can get a bit alarming to listen to me sometimes, but I've already raised one boy and I wanted a son even less during that pregnancy. I remember being enormous and sick of being pregnant and thinking, "Oh no! What if this one is a boy and I have to go through this all over again to get a REAL kid!" a few weeks before he was born, but then I saw the "goods" right away after the birth and I was fine with it.
That child was my heart and in a lot of ways, I was always much closer to him than I was to his sister. I'm still deeply grieving for him, as I was for Phoenix when I was pregnant with dd, and thinking of the new little ones as being the opposite gender than the missing baby makes things easier somehow.

DH wants another girl. I'd be happy with either, but my first guess is that this one's a boy (and yet, I keep calling it "she").

I have a feeling this baby is a girl. I've never been wrong with any of my kids so I would bet that its definitely a girl. DH wants a boy so our DS will have a brother to play with. Our girls are so close it would be nice for DS to have a playmate.

I voted "other" because I think Im having another ds in my heart, but my head is telling me I'm having a girl.......?
Either will be adored without question :lol

My daughter has been referring to the baby (from the moment she was told) as a "she", my best friend called and told me that she had a moment where she felt it was a girl, I have been having girl vibes. But who knows right? We'll know longer than not:lol This is also going to be the first pregnancy where we aren't going to do the ultrasound...

I have a preference for a girl, but I'd like to not have it! I know it is based on assumptions and thoughts that don't hold up to any examination :) Positively, I would like my DD to have a sister ... in all my family in Australia there are no sisters, and there are 7 of us having children, no sisters in our generation or in our kids. We are due two girls in one family!

:lol I voted twins.. wishful thinking.. DH thinks he makes all boys and will never have a girl and I'm telling him this one is a girl so now he thinks I am carrying twin boys.. my record so far is B/G/B so in my pattern a girl is next :wink

I have a strong feeling that this one is a girl, and so does DH. It's funny, ever since DS was born, right up until the day before I found out I was pregnant last week, I felt like I wanted and would have another boy next. But the moment that I felt the pregnancy, I felt overwhelmingly like it was a little baby girl. (Which now I think would be the most amazing thing in the world!!)
When pregnant with DS, DH and I both felt he was a boy, so it's hard not to think that this baby could be anything other than a girl. We'll see, though:) BTW, the Chinese gender calendar does say it's a girl.

I am kinda hoping for a girl, although it really doesn't matter to me, we will be thrilled either way! We have not found out the sex with any of our kids, I really like the surprise of waiting, guessing and wondering! It makes the pain of labor even that much more rewarding!

One of the three Chinese calendar things i found online said BooBah should be a girl. That one and the rest were all wrong for BeanBean and Bella. :lol

I'm feeling girl vibes. The Chinese chart agrees :wink

I voted other - I don't have a feeling either way at the moment, but am sure I will later on. Things have been quite hectic around here lately (with four kids and preparing for vacation) and I haven't had a moment to just sit and "be" with the baby!
I was right will my four other kids. My 2 oldest are boys, then a girl, then another boy. We haven't told the kids yet (will tomorrow!) but I'm sure my dd will want a girl and my older 2 boys will want a boy. The "baby" (who is not a baby anymore!) won't care, as long as it's a baby. He loooooves babies!
I'm prepared for boy #4 but will be delighted if it's a girl!

I'm thinking it's a boy, because I already have lots of girl's clothes, and life's like that.

My gut says boy. Or maybe that's just the frozen pizza. Either way, I'm ready to lie down.

I feel like I am having a girl b/c I have not had much m/s and I didn't have much with dd#1, and I have only a girls name stuck in my head. This also happened with dd#1, her name is Savannah and I could not get the name out of my head and all the boys names sounded dumb. I turned out pregnant with a girl...this time Lily I stuck in my head...sooooo
