Finally got in to see a midwife..I LOVE her...and I'm already measruing 6 weeks ahead

I had my appt today. It felt like I've waited forever!!

she is very excited I'm still bfing ds. She asked about my c/s and I explain everything to her and she said that I was not a failure to progress I was a failed induction. She said I am a perfect candidate for vbac!

She did my exam and felt my tummy and said.."are you sure you're only 8 weeks??" My uterus is already half way to my belly button. So she had me empty my bladder again and nothing changed. So, she said my uterus is the size it should be at 14 weeks or so. So, I explained to her that i had a pos hpt in March but a neg blood test in April. So, I went to u/s to check dates and rule out twins :eek Which would be cool but...OMG! :jaw

So, I'm measuring right on at 8 weeks and some days. Only one baby! No idea why I'm measuring so big. No fybroids or anything either. Just a big. Everything looks good...and explains why my clothes haven't fit for 3 weeks :)

I'm very excited and go on a tour of the midwifery next tuesday!

I also have a nice pic of my little one! Head, body, and legs all visible and of course that little heart jsut a beating!!!

I measured really big on #2 and #3 and it's always freaked me out because on my 1st prenatal visits they would always mention twins and do an US first thing. I just had a large uterus. Apparently it is common after childbirth. I personally wonder if it means I grow big babies because the last one was 9lb7oz. and this one seems bigger and I have 2 more months to go!

I measured 2 weeks ahead with ds too. But she said it could be from the c/s. Who knows!

I'm so glad I got to see that tiny heart beat!

So happy for you that you have found a great mid wife!
It took a couple tries for me to find some one I liked!
Good news is alwasy nice to hear!

Yeah Megan! I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to have confirmation of my baby's heartbeat. I will feel so much relief. I hope I find a midwife that I like too! vwmama - my big boy was 9lbs7oz too! Yeah us for big healthy babies!
