me...

well sorta :)

I have an incomptent cervix... but it isn't as bad as it could be.
Once I make it to 36 weeks I will no longer be considered High Risk. And then I tell them all to BACK OFF!

I will be getting a cerclage placed at 14 weeks.. for me so far that has been successful twice, both the boys were born at 42 weeks.

Lianne was born at 32 weeks after a month on hospital bedrest with my feet above my head.... definately worth it though!

I have an history of miscarriage, stillbirths, and preemies, but I think that was due to my environment now that I see I CAN have healthy pregnancy as my DS proved to me that I can. But doctors don't care about that, they go by previous medical history which is a big reason I want to homebirth.

Glad it's not just me! :)

I had DD at 24w5d due to severe pre-e. Because I had it so early and so severely there is an extremely good chance of me getting it again. Possibly even earlier than last time. So this is going to be a very medically managed pregnancy unfortunately. It's a strange position for me to be in because I am a huge fan of homebirth, natural birth, etc but I will be ecstatic if I have a scheduled c/s at 37 weeks and walk out of the hospital with a live baby who can come home with me the same day I go home.

Tishia - I hope you get your homebirth!

I am not high risk, but just wanted to say that I enjoyed looking at your live journal. Your little doll is so sweet! Best of luck to you with this pregnancy!

Me too. Weight loss and no gain, very high bp, starting at 15weeks last time, PPROM last time at 32 weeks, birth at 34weeks. Bedrest at 21 weeks. To be honest, I'm terrified about this pregnancy. Like you, I'll be thrilled to have a baby who gets to come home with me on the same day. We are crossing our fingers for no NICU this time around.

I hear you about having a baby that you get to take home with you.
With my #2 that was all I wanted.
And I definately got that.
I was pregnant for 10 weeks longer with Conor than I was Lianne.

It can be done!

Same here. We're moving and our new NICU has private rooms, etc and our goal is to NOT see the inside of it ever no matter how nice it is :lol

I hear ya! I was just telling dh tonight that I'm touring the NICU soon at the hospital we will deliver at and hopign to never see it again. But I want to be prepared just in case. It was so hard last time being surprised like that and not being emotionally ready. I just want to be able to know more of what to expect this time just in case.

I had pre-e with my dd and had an emergency c-section at 37 weeks. Not that early, but they didn't think I could make it any longer. my bp is still high, now 5 years later, and nothing seems to bring it down other than drugs. I'm on one now that is approved for use during pg, but I'm still hoping I can try to bring it down!

I'm not really high risk, but two of my three babies have gone to NICU. I thought I was going to LOSE it when they took Bella. :gloomy:

After BeanBean, I walked out and said, "You've all been very nice, I never want to see you again!" So going back for Bella was like.. ugh. I am SO not keen to do that again. I LOATHE NICU. *mutters*
