YES!!! I thought I just ate too much. I'm overweight at 211, and I'm not supposed to gain too much weight in pregnancy I guess. Everything I read says that 15 pounds is about right if you are overweight. But that means I was only supposed to gain 1 pound a month for the first three months, then 2 pounds a month after that. But I'm with you, I gain 5 pound right off. I'm trying to keep up the exercize and eat healthy, so I don't gain too quickly.

Oh yes.... Here I was on planning an excersize routine for the summer and I find out I'm pregnant and have already gained about 5. I usually lose a few in the first few months, but I guess not this time. I already feel huge. Baby is only 11 months and I feel like I look at least 5 months. Oh well....

I hear ya! I'm still trying to lose my baby weight from the LAST pregnancy! I've been working out some the last month or so, but now I feel like I have to step it up a notch or two.

DD has been telling me since DS was born that I "still look pregnant." I finally lost a few pounds and when we told her a few days ago that we had a surprise for her, she said "It can't be that you're pregnant again, because you don't look pregnant anymore." Then yesterday she said "Yep, mom, you look pregnant again." :lol Great.

Yeah. I gained seven pounds the week before I even got my BFP. I was so bloated I knew that something must be up. Rest assured that it HAS to be water weight to come on that quickly. Unless you have set up camp at the local Krispy Kreme.

I have refused to weigh myself so far. :) I got weighed at the dr last week so that is going to serve as my starting weight. In my last pregnancy, I gained 50 pounds and lost 60. Crazy?! I ate healthy, just had an out of control appetite in the 2nd trimester and then an amazing amount of swelling in the 3rd trimester.

So anyway, the short answer is I don't want to know. :)

YUP!!!! I went from 125 to 131 in like the first week I found out. Thank goodness I haven't gained any since then. I think it's mostly water though. My doc told me just today that your body gets confused about where the water should be going and you get bloated in the first trimester.

YES! I have been trying to eat more cautiously with this pregnancy, I gained 15 lbs my first trimester with my other pregnancy, and was 10 pounds over my recommended weight gain when I gave birth. It is also the 10 pounds I did not lose after having the baby. With an all-the-time queasy stomach I just can't stop eating carb-filled white foods.
