I am already overweight and so I am really watching my weight I weigh myself every morning so I can keep tabs on my weight. I am going to try and not gain much I did good last time and I am hoping to do even better this time.

I am just making sure I stay off the sweets which can be hard with m/s...all I want is gatorade and such. I started at a good weight but I just like to keep in mind that even though I am preg I will eventually have to lose the weight in the end. I have a lot of food allergies so that actaully helps because I have to be so aware of what I am eating.

I'm watching myself. I had been exercising and I lost 30 lbs, but I guess they'll be put right back. Hopefully I won't gain too much and can get back n track with my weight loss.

Last time round, I tried not to gain any weight, and did pretty well. I'm aiming to do the same thing again, but so far I'm down a stone (14lb) on pre-pregnancy. Nobody except me is worried about it, though, and this seems to be how I do the first trimester.

I'm not overweight but I definately plan to keep tabs on how much I gain during this pregnancy. I think my midwife gave me some great advice. If you are average weight and height to begin with, anything you gain above 25-30 pounds will be on you, and will be hard to shed without some pretty diligent exercise and dieting. That was very true with my son. I gained about 40 pounds and I can't get rid of the last 10 pounds unless I am insanely strict about diet and exercise, if I get lazy at all it comes right back so I'm hoping to just gain 25 pounds this time and not add on any fluff for me.

I won't restrict calories or anything, but I'm doing the babyfit program again. I just got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight which was overweight in the first place so I'm just hoping I gain the same amount as last time. Maybe tandem nursing will burn the pounds off faster this time around

I am watching my weight. I have been working really hard since our last son was born and dropped about 50 pounds. I do not want to gain it back! I will be weighing myself daily and continue my daily exercise!

Okay, I'll preface this by saying that I am a fat person. (5'1", 235-ish, size 18)
I never ever watch my weight during pregnancy. I'm all about following my body's cravings and aversions. I usually lose weight in the begining and gain it all back later, and I average an additional 5 pounds per pregnancy (never made it that far last time). Honestly, while I hate being fat (especially the saggy flap-- UGH) I'd rather have to lose weight on my own later than try to restrict myself in any way during pregnancy. My babies' little brains are important to me.
It's exceptionally difficult to trust your body as a fat person, I think, but pregnancy has taught me that it still knows what it's doing, and I've simply been overriding with my brain for years in an effort to love myself via Starbucks Mocha and Turkey Hill Ice Cream. :o
Like I said, I don't expect to gain more than ten pounds all told, but it won't be becuase I'm working hard to avoid it.

I have a long history of an eating disorder that I fought very hard to overcome. I am trying to make good eating decisions for my baby's health and I am loving and celebrating the varius new changes of my pregnant body. I am not watching my weight.

I have always had issues with weight but I think my body likes me pregnant at this weight because I have gotten pregnant all four times at this weight, whereas when I am lighter it is more difficult. Might/ more than likely be all in my head:shy But I am going to continue exercising and listening to my cravings which haven't led me astray yet, veggies and healthy stuff and no candy-ish cravings.

I am, I have been dieting for a long time before I conceived and I do not want to stack it back on. I have put on about 1.5 kilos, I overate a few days and have not been exercising as much ... really gonna keep an eye on it, I also feel sluggish without the exercise. I am thinking of putting the scales away, but I don't think I should stop calorie counting *and* weighing, gotta do just one or the other. I do better when I monitor myself somehow since I am not fabulous about making good choices, I need feedback from something outside myself to keep my behaviour sensible!
If I get full on MS, it'll be a moot issue, but I have to go ahead assuming I'll have to use the constraint I do in every day life to not go OTT. Fun fun!! :)

I am similarly sized and feel the same way. I lost 40lbs with my pregnancy with DD due to HG. I promised myself that no matter how I felt, I would eat. I know that this is not at all like the OP meant, just me chiming in to say that I won't really be watching my weight. But I don't eat a bunch of junk either :wink

Yes! I do think it is important to listen to your body and I actaully never restrict calories or anything--I eat as much as I need. (I am so over "dieting") I just cut out the sugars and grains I am allergic to most of them anyway) and serve up my big bowl of coconut curry meatballs or anything with butter on it :p
My first pregnancy I was still in my dieting/bad body image stage of my life and actually had the midwife weigh me backwards the whole time so the number would not trigger a deprivation-dieting cycle. Now I see my body and food so differently that I can handle the numbers better(..but still may stop knowing because I don't really need to know.) I am 27 and this is the first time I have really enjoyed food and can admit it! I think growing a nursing a baby really helped me through my body issues.
Sorry to ramble!

no I just have to make sure I eat. I was a size 6 before e and now after 2 years I am back down in a 2/4 but I am going to try and not gain 70 again:lol but I am a veggie now and the lack of mcickey D's double cheeseburgers with extra pickles and cheese might play a role in that:lol I will go back to meat if I want it but NO fast food this time!

I am lucky that I don't really have to worry about gaining weight.
My body is so strange... I actually LOSE weight while the baby gains weight and I end up gaining only about 10 lbs. It is typical for me to weigh the same or less after birth than I did when I got pregnant.
I lose a lot of my chin fat... I like that part.
I don't like gaining it back afterwards :(
I enjoy my body when I am pregnant. I am able to be at peace with it and since I am overweight I like having that...even for a short time.
I try to eat healthy as possible for the baby. But I am not going to worry about my size as long as the baby is doing well.
I get post partum thyroiditis and so for about 6 months after birth my thyroid gets really low and I have to take a replacement. But I still end up gaining weight becuase of it.

I'm very overweight right now and will be trying very hard to only eat healthy foods. I will be avoiding white flour, processed foods, junk foods, etc. I'm hoping to stick to only lower fat, fresh veggies and fruits and lean protein.
