My machine is trying to drive me insane! The bobbin thread keeps getting all bunchy. It's coming out in a blob. i've tried tightening the bobbin tension, re-inserting the bobbin and re-threading the whole thing. Any sewing gurus know what I did to make the machine so crabby? Or any clues on how to make it a happy machine?

That happened to me and i found out that it was bc i hadnt been maintaining my machine properly...it needed to be lubricated with sewing machine oil. I put a teeny bit of oil on all of the moving parts that i could see when i took the cover off. Just make sure you sew with some scraps after you oil the machine to get rid of any excess.

Another thing it might be is a buildup of lint around the feed dogs..that can really interfere with the thread. i use an air compresser to blow out the fuzzies now.

good luck

when your bobbin thread is off, the issue is with your *needle* tension. and likewise when your needle thread is off, the issue is with your bobbin tension.

Well....my serger hates me ---- here's a peice of serger advice

Don't serge barefoot or you might just get burned (by the foot pedal)

As for your sewing machine....I agree with Meagan check your needle thread - be sure it's in all its little slots and holders.

Good Luck ! :D
