I'm going to go to Whole Foods to see if I can find some prenatals today or tomorrow. I was wondering what kind of teas are good during pregnancy? I'm in my first trimester. Also, what is good for nausea? I'm only like 4 weeks and I'm already starting to feel queasy! Thanks!

I beleive peppermint tea is good for nausea. Red Raspberry leaf tea is supposed to be great for pregnancy. Check out the Red Raspberry Leaf tride thread. Lots of great info.

I'd wait on the Red Raspberry leaf until further along. But the Traditional Medicine's Pregnancy Teas are good. I think ginger is really good for nausea as well as pepermint.

From what I've found out, red raspberry leaf tea is still good in the first trimester, you're just not supposed to have as much. I stick to one cup a day. It also helps with the icky sicky, along with ginger, at least for me ;) I have been feeling sick all day, but most in danger of throwing up in the morning, so I've been starting my day with a cup of red raspberry tea with ginger (I use dried, cut, because it's easy, but I've heard fresh works better), and a wedge of lime squeezed into the mix, and not only does it taste fantastic, but it works wonders! As long as I can get up and get my morning concoction made before throwing up, I don't. :P Good luck!

The pregnancy tea at Whole Foods is good. I have a whole bunch (like pounds) of RRL and Nettle, but it's too much work to prepare right now, so the bagged tea from the store is working better for me! Maybe if I make it to second trimester, I'll go back to the RRL.

As a note, I have loose RRL too, but right now what I'm usin' (since it's always urgent) is bagged RRL tea from the store, so it is out there! :D

My midwife recommends this pregnancy tonic (http://www.blessedherbs.com/Medicinal-Herbs/Pregnancy-Tonic/Pregnancy-Tonic-Herbal-Tea-Blend-P-1284.html).

Stinging nettle is supposed to contain iron - so is recommended for pregnancy.
