I'm only 9w2d, but I honest and truly believe I felt the baby moving around today. My brain keeps saying, "It's too early, even for a 3rd timer." But my heart is saying, "Nuh ah, I FEEL this baby moving around."

Has anyone else thought or known for a fact that they've felt the baby this early? I know it's probably just gas :lol , but it's still so neat to think I'm feeling the baby moving already!

I have had gassy feelings that mimic early fetal movement. I know it is just gas though b/c usually on those occasions I am also feeling bloated!

You know what's funny is... before I was pg with pg#1, I always read that the baby moving would feel like gas bubbles... but when I was pg, I never thought it felt like that. Then, after the baby was born, I remember feeling gas bubbles and thinking it was the baby moving! (but there was no baby!) hahaha!

So... now I feel that occasionally, but I figure it's probably just gas bubbles considering how tiny things are still. ...but I guess there's no real way to tell this early on. who knows!!

I reckon I can feel stuff too, this weekend I sat on the couch a lot because I have a bad cold, and I can feel "wiggles" , something, I dunno, vague something is in there and it isn't still movement LOL

On another thread, I think it was Flapjack who said that she has felt movement much earlier than any of the books say you should be able to.

I totally believe that some people can. I forget how old my little guys were when I first KNEW it was a baby, but I suspect I'll be one of the later moms here to recognize this bean's movements just because it's been 16 years since I felt it and I've forgotten.

I thought I felt her one night, but it was kind of a gassy night so now I think it was just the early beginnings of farts.

Yep- I felt Skye move at 9 weeks and it was a different feeling to gas- it felt like the very edge of a wave rippling, if that makes sense? I also felt it much stronger lying on my tummy. I know that at that point, there were a few other mamas who had felt babies moving early, though it's unusual.

I feel truly gutted that this baby has refused to conform to demands and be an early kicker too :lol I think I'm just going to accept that s/he is his own person and will do things his own way, and that intrauterine loving guidance is pretty much impossible ;)

I haven't felt it yet this time.
Last pregnancy I felt it at 11 weeks.
I asked my dr about and she told me that it wasn't actually the baby movement that I was feeling. She said that the baby WAS moving around and pushing my organs around a bit and that it what i was feeling.

I wanted to know why that was different. If the baby was causing the organ movement than what I was feeling WAS baby movement :)

Hoping to start feeling it soon!

Nothing for me yet but I felt my other pregnancies at 19 and 18 weeks respectively so I've figured that I've still got a WHILE left to go!

I definitely think I can feel the baby. I'm positive it isn't gas. I'm 10 weeks

I've been sooo sure in the past that I felt my baby move, when I was pg with #3... but it was gas. And as much as it feels the same this time.. I know its just gas too. They really can feel so much the same.

I am 10w2d today and yesterday I felt the baby move. I have felt something a handfull of times in the past week or so but nothing I could say was for sure. But yesterday laying on the couch talking to DH I deffinantly felt a movement by the baby. Don't think I will be feeling it often. I know the baby is moving around a lot because I saw it on the sono but I think not all the movements will be strong enough to feel for a long time. I think I will feel something every once in a while over the next 5 weeks and after that I can expect to feel it a lot more.

I love my little one.
