Would you like to take part in our monthly craft circle and make a craft? If so, post here for sign up. How about we have sign up until Thursday March 7th, then the list of who you send your craft to will be posted Friday March 8th.
Craft your heart out!

I took February off, but will rejoin the March Craft Circle. I make forged iron pieces- this time, a gardening type surprise. I don't mind shipping out to international addresses.
If you don't mind- would you post your reasons why you participate in the craft circles when you reply to this thread?
I participate for 2 reasons
1) to inspire and be inspired. I hope that the craft I send out helps you to grow in your own creativity.
2) to rediscover the surprise of crafting and giving, without thought of profit.
We do blacksmithing as a business- part time income right now- so the craft swap takes me into a totally different motivation, which is nice.

i will participate again!
leafy lady, good idea about asking why we participate...i do it because i love to get suprises in the mail, and i really enjoy making my crafts and like to share them with anyone who appreciates the work that is put into making a craft.

Even though I am moving ever so slowly on my Feb. craft, I will sign up again for the March one.
Thanks for taking charge, Saganaga.
Alison
PS Lilypad, I posted a message for you on the Feb. thread. Also, could you let me know if your babe is a boy or girl.

I would love to be a part of march circle!! I participate because I am trying to learn to be crafty......and I love to get things in the mail!!!!! I really put a lot into what I made last time (thought and effort) and just enjoy the "giving" --and the recieving.
I used to live overseas--welcome all overseas moms--but a concern for the cost of shipping??? My mom sent me a small package to singapore and it cost $20!!

Since becoming a mom I haven't had as many opportunities to feel productive, when I complete a craft I've produced something and I feel productive, when I feel productive I feel that I become a better mom.
I have a need to express myself creatively and just because now that I'm a mom that doesn't mean I have to stop expressing myself creatively.
I love receiving surprise packages in the mail.
I am inspired by the crafts I receive from other crafty mothers, they give me ideas and possibilities.
I love to give.
I love to share my talents and ideas with other crafty mothers who appreciate the time and effort put into a craft.
Lukesmom, I think I used to know you...I used to live in France (maybe from an APExpat list?)
For everyone participating in the March craft circle...if you're interested I thought it might be fun to enclose a postcard from your area with your craft...just a thought, if you'd like to do it you can. :)

This sounds like too much fun to miss out on . I make beaded jewelery, paint and sew. I have been doing a lot of black pearls and hememite w/ my jewelery.

I mistaked you for someone else...there were several APExpat moms from Singapore...I've never been to Bf.com...

And I'm so excited! I'm not entirely sure what I'll make yet, but I'm so excited.
The reason(s) I would like to do this is that I love to craft, I get such fulfillment out of making things with my hands that I'd like to brighten up someone else's day as well. And I have to agree, I love getting surprises in the mail!!!!!!! And of course being on bed-rest with this pregnancy, it will be so nice to do somethng other than read or watch the tube!
I will include a postcard from my area with the package - great idea!!!!!
Many blessings,
J

Wow! What a cool idea! And what great motivation for getting crafty!@!@
Looks like I'm a day late for this circle, but if you think of it, will you email or PM me for the next one? I will also try to remember to check back at the beginning of April.
Maybe I'll try to get some of my mom's groups to try this.
Thanks! :hippie

Hey LeafyLady, I got it! It came yesterday. I can't believe the same person who made the pretty garden trowel also made the delicate pin! Wow. The trowel will get saved for the house we hope to have when we move back to the states in a few years. My husband wants to have a vegetable garden, so it will come in handy! Thank you!

Lots of different crafts have been made for the craft circles. To give you an idea I have received a necklace, a doll, miracle scrub in a painted jar, a decorated gift bag. I have made rubberstamped cards, hooded towels, scrunchies, and polar fleece stuffed bears. I've had a lot of fun. Hope you can join us for the April Craft Circle (check back at the Crafts board on April 1st).

Hi Fullcirclesb,
I got a nice card and envelope, but there was no choker anywhere to be found. I waited a few extra days thinking that you might have sent it separately, but still nothing. Do you think it got lost?:(

I send you another one. That's really too bad. I should have mailed it in something more sturdy....I just love that paper so much. It may take me awhile, I'm working and going to school, but I will try to have it in the mail before the end of this month. Was there a hole in the envelope?:(
leafylady
04-14-2002, 06:37 AM
No, there was no hole in the envelope. It was strange. Maybe somebody actually unsealed and resealed the envelope in order to take it.
That's a bummer. I think this is the first time that's happened in one of our craft swaps, although there was one damaged package a few months ago.
I would recommend putting it in a padded envelope or small box, so no one can tell what it is from the outside.

I got your package in yesterday's mail---thank you for the blue purse & the lion mask---they are so cool! I can't believe that you made the felt yourself, I'll have to find out how homemade felt is made (anything like homemade paper?) Anyway we admired your crafting ~ thanks again.

Glad you like them.
