Okay.... I am such! a lurker. I learn a lot from everyone, but rarely feel that I have the experience or eloquence to add to the conversation.
HOWEVER!
I have to share b/c I am SO proud!
I never had the patience to sew before... everything always ended up crooked or fell apart. I never had the patience to tear it apart and try again. I quit trying when I was about 15.

Until I wanted to sew diapers :)
New baby due any minute and I wanted to do some of it myself.
My mom paid for a lot of the materials... I just had to sew it.

So here are my first attempts.
A cover and a matching wet bag.

Third: :eek that's your first try - amazing! You should have seen the first diaper I tried to sew, it was a wreck! Post more pictures when you make them.

We used the Diaper Cover Deluxe pattern.

My mom made the first one following exactly and we are starting to adjust it a little...
We are having a hard time with the snap one for my toddler though, the instructions aren't really clear for beginning sewers.

I love that print too... got it from OSDS
