MissAnnThrope 08-08-2007, 04:56 PM Double post MissAnnThrope 08-08-2007, 04:56 PM All I've really wanted so far is fruit and jalapeño poppers... at the same time. But I love spicy. Also, I think one of the best thing, as I mentioned in another thread, is sliced cucumbers covered with lime juice and hot sauce. :yum linguistmama 08-08-2007, 05:12 PM This time I'm craving junior bacon cheeseburgers from Wendy's. We were doing so well at avoiding fast food too. With dd I craved reese's peanut butter cups with lemonade! Jennisee 08-08-2007, 06:05 PM Just like when I was pregnant with my DD, I'm craving meat and carbs--bacon on toast, pot roast and potatoes, burger and fries, beef and bean chili. In fact, I've got a container of chili thawing/cooking in the microwave right now. I've also been craving fruit and vegetables in general, but nothing specific or weird. Hemiola 08-08-2007, 07:03 PM Kraft mac 'n cheese...yep the crap in the box! Little butter, milk, some extra cheddar...damn that stuff tastes GOOOOOOD! :dizzy: Last time I craved McDonald's strawberry sundae. I haven't eaten any "food" at McDonalds for at least 10 years, but something about that nasty strawberry preservative they use tasted awesome! Haven't been back since I had my baby :) Laura titania8 08-08-2007, 07:28 PM a person can survive on cereal alone, right? :o honeycombs are totally nutritious!! :lol celestialdreamer 08-08-2007, 08:00 PM I attempted to eat a twinkie today (I haven't eaten one in probably 10 years!). It was really nasty and I only ate 2 bites. Yuck. I made homemade organic green salsa tonight :yum I may be eating it straight for a few days. I made it extra tangy with just a tiny bit of spice. With my boy pregnancy I craved super hot stuff, but I'm not into that yet. With my girl pregnancy I craved sweet, sour and carby stuff. I don't care what we are having but it will be interesting to see what cravings I get or don't get :) willemsmamma 08-09-2007, 08:24 AM My cravings haven't really started yet....:o ORLY? 08-09-2007, 08:32 AM Anything salty usually. Last night I actually wanted Eggos- not waffles, EGGOS. I haven't had Eggos in over a decade. Last night's cravings was Eggos with a side order of tomato soup. Of course, I only got the soup. Tonight Hubby is bringing home a Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sub from Subway. I'm pretty excited for this. :bouncy <--- See, this is me bouncing around like an idiot because of it. I think I'm planning the whole day around this. I think I'll clean the apartment for the sub's arrival... instead of the true motivation- because we are moving out Saturday. celestialdreamer 08-09-2007, 10:57 AM I made homemade organic green salsa tonight :yum I may be eating it straight for a few days. I made it extra tangy with just a tiny bit of spice. Yeah...so DH loved the salsa. I ate a little bit and then my mouth tasted really odd, hard to describe but I remember the sensation. I had to wash out the taste with a bowl of cereal (which I normally don't eat). :lol All that really sounds good today is cereal! MissAnnThrope 08-09-2007, 11:42 AM Anything salty usually. That is the best sub at subway. I was planing on cooking tonight... but I think I have changed my mind. ORLY? 08-09-2007, 11:47 AM That is the best sub at subway. I was planing on cooking tonight... but I think I have changed my mind. Isn't it SO good?! :drool I can eat as much as I want and not feel guilty! I just got done scrubbing down the bathroom and washing the dishes, it's all for the SUB! :throb MissAnnThrope 08-09-2007, 11:51 AM I really like quizno's Stake house beef sub. It is the sub you dip. They put french onion sauce on them and swiss cheese. I have started to make them at home now... much cheaper that way and I can have more than one. ORLY? 08-09-2007, 11:54 AM OoOoOo... sounds good. :yum Organicavocado 08-09-2007, 01:45 PM All I wanted yesterday was some orange chicken from panda -rofl-so I indulged for once. Gave me gas. ORLY? 08-09-2007, 01:50 PM :drool Panda? Ummmm... mushroom chicken.....Geez, is it 4:00 yet? Maybe I can call my hubby and change my order. Maybe he is feelin generous and I can have Subway AND Panda. Doubtful. :eyesroll Organicavocado 08-09-2007, 01:53 PM Orange chicken ON a sub sandwich, hello perfect! ORLY? 08-09-2007, 01:55 PM Orange chicken ON a sub sandwich, hello perfect! OH MY GOSH! Genius! Can we make this happen, please! :yum x 100 Organicavocado 08-09-2007, 02:11 PM We'll have to get panda and subway to merge, and then they can call it the "Preggo Special". All pregnant women everywhere would rejoice. Ironica 08-09-2007, 08:33 PM My husband would love that notion... Pandaway? I'm eating a lot of protein. I haven't "craved" anything weird yet, though before I was truly pregnant, I got a hint in the form of really, REALLY wanting pate. I got some at Trader Joe's, but even theirs has nasty preservatives in it so after that was gone I tried making my own. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good, either. Oh well. takasmom 08-09-2007, 11:06 PM OK. subway is way too complex for me now, let alone the panda/subway merger. :lol i can only deal with one thing at once. i second the eggos. plain. and tater tots. also plain. DH is completely baffled by our freezer these days. My3babes 08-10-2007, 12:32 AM Hot Chocolate.. why so weird?? perhaps because it was 104 today, lol. Also I have craved Subway since Saturday, ours was closed for remodeling and they opened today and I went at lunch, lol Jennisee 08-10-2007, 09:54 AM All I wanted yesterday was some orange chicken from panda -rofl-so I indulged for once. Gave me gas. Darn you! :lol Now I'm craving that, and the closest Panda is 45 minutes away. celestialdreamer 08-10-2007, 10:48 AM Last night I made homemade potato soup (potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, and chicken broth) and pureed it so it was super creamy and then added finely chopped kale (my most fav vegetable). Then I added lots of seasalt and a few drops of hot sauce(only to my bowl). YUM! :yum And there is lots of leftovers for lunch :carrot I will probably add some chicken sausage chunks to it for protein. Finally something sounds good!!! MissAnnThrope 08-10-2007, 11:29 AM Is Panda really good? They opened one here in town and dh wans to go but I'm not into it. But hearing you guys talk about it makes me want to go... but I don't want gas :lol ORLY? 08-10-2007, 11:53 AM It isn’t very authentic. I mean, it is totally a fast food chain, so if anything, it is pretty consistent. Their orange chicken is pretty popular. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. I eat at Panda usually when I don’t know the local Chinese joints very well and when I’m on the run. I have yet to get sick from any of their establishments. So if you have one, try it. You'll probably like it. IF you like mushrooms... try the mushroom chicken. SO...GOOD. :yum prayingfor2 08-10-2007, 11:54 AM lol I did. I lived off of malt-o-meal's version of fruity pebbles. I ate 3 bowls of it a day. In our defense I read that carbs are what develop the baby's brain lol a person can survive on cereal alone, right? :o honeycombs are totally nutritious!! :lol Jennisee 08-10-2007, 02:55 PM Is Panda really good? They opened one here in town and dh wans to go but I'm not into it. But hearing you guys talk about it makes me want to go... but I don't want gas :lol Well, like ORLY said it's fast food and not really authentic, but it's still yummy. Every time I go, I get the two entree plate with orange chicken and mandarin chicken. MissAnnThrope 08-10-2007, 03:52 PM We went there for a late lunch and I got the Mongolian chicken. It was pretty good. But I like the place at the mall better. :lol Jennisee 08-10-2007, 04:16 PM Our closest Panda is in a mall. :lol When the weather is too bad to play outside much, I take DD to the children's play area at the mall and get an order from Panda. counterGOPI 08-10-2007, 07:04 PM im eating french fries every day betwen breakfast and lucnh..dos that count? :lol rubyeta 08-10-2007, 07:07 PM salt and vinegar potato chips. YUM!! Ironica 08-10-2007, 07:20 PM salt and vinegar potato chips. YUM!!OMG... that was *totally* one of my things during my pregnancy with DS. That, and lemonade... so tons and tons of acid. ;-) rmzbm 08-10-2007, 07:29 PM OMG!
