Be prepared to get very, very hungry :lol I nursed halfway through my last pregnancy, then dd started back up again after ds was born. I was always starving with either nursing+pregnancy or tandem nursing. In fact I ended up gaining more weight than I would have liked while eating for 3. :bag: Strangely when I am just pregnant and not nursing, or just nursing I can slowly lose weight. My goal this time is to keep healthy food handy in the fridge so I don't have that same problem this time :)

I'm eating for four too. And yeah, I am constantly hungry. I wasn't until I got pregnant, either, so the belly bean has really tipped the scales.

This morning I put "April is eating for three" on my Myspace update. Then I realized that it could be taken that way, so I changed it. :lol I didn't want to bring on a flood of questions.

:lol thats what my dh keeps sayign to me 'youre eating for 3 now' :love
mine too!
And my ds is really still getting the vast majority of his calories from me, I believe. Judging from the peas that seem to pass through him completely undigested.....
Although Adventures in Tandem Nursing noted that women don't require any extra calories to sustain a first trimester pregnancy - only once you get into the 2nd and 3rd trimester do you need extra calories....
Although I'm definately hungrier already!

I'm pretty sure any solids my ds eats just "pass through" anyhow - sorry if that's TMI!

My dh reminded me that I would be eating for 3 when we were TTC. He makes sure I'm eating. Though lately he hasn't had to remind me. I'm STARVING. I have to eat at 10 pm every night or wake up in the middle of the night needing to eat.

Yep, I've been having to eat right before bed, too. Otherwise, I can't make it through the night. I certainly wasn't like this with my first pg. I had to remind myself to eat with that one...not the case this time.

Me two. I was just visiting my parents and had to keep reminding me that I, unlike them, am not a senior citizen who only needs two small meals per day. My dad was making us omelets and he wanted to use just 6 eggs and 1 white for 3 omelets meant to feed both of them and one for me that I would give a bit to DD. I wanted a 4-egg omelet for myself!

Well, I'm only eating for two, but I'm hungry all the time. M/s hasn't kicked in yet (another 3 days till it kicked in with #2) and I eat about eight times a day. Definitely eating just before bedtime, too.
