Hello
Two very dear friends of mine are looking to adopt. Anyone out there who could share some resources and other information generally useful in handling the difficulties these two women have encountered?
Thank you

2 queer friendly adoption agencies that I know of are Friends In Adoption http://www.friendsinadoption.com/ in Vermont and Full Circle Adoptions http://www.fullcircleadoptions.com/index.htm in Massachusetts. You don't have to be from these states to use these agencies. These agencies do mostly domestic infant adoptions. Good luck.

Do you know if they want to do domestic or international? Special needs? Older or younger?
There are so many variables. They would want to check out their local adoption laws, and talk to a lawyer. I know of friends who adopted from Guatemala, and they had a list-serve for support. There are also organizations like the national center for lesbian rights, and the Human Rights Campaign Fund who would have info on their websites.
