I know this is an extremely old thread, but I think I found a midwife for Puerto Rico. Her name is Debbie Diaz Ortiz and her email is caribe[@]relacahupan.org Hope this helps!

When we last visited PR we met the midwife that delived my DH's father. However, she is now 104 and not delivering babies :)

Hi,
My name is Stephanie and I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Like the original poster, I'm also looking for a midwife. I contacted Debbie who was mentioned above (I found her independantly) and she seems great, although a bit far from me.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if there's anyone else around with homebirth/midwife experience in PR. I had my first visit with an OB last week. That, combined with my hospital experience here, has been rather depressing.

I saw your thread and I was going to recommend you contacting the representive of relacahupan, Red Latinoamericana y del Caribe para la Humanización del Parto y el Nacimiento www.relacahupan.org but you already have it is Debbie.
I also saw this site seem interesting don´t know it personally.

They have a list of what appears to be natural birth friendly providers
