Birth Bead Shopping! Places to find cool beads

So have you mamas started shopping for beads yet? Found any cool deals online? I went to Walmart and some hobby stores but didn't see anything that I really loved. I have seen some neat bead websites but was just wondering if any of you have found some places, websites to get unique beads for our swap!?

I havent even started looking yet but now that you mention it I will keep my eyes open. Are you going to organize our bead swap? Perhaps you should explain what one is for the Mamas that arent familiar with the idea so they know what to look for.

I'm from the Feb 08 DDC, the way we are doing it is having each mama who is interested send a message to our organizer (scarlet begonias) by a certain date, then she will send each one of us a message telling us how many moms are participating- thats the # of beads to buy. We then will mail them to the organizer and she is kind enough to make a piece of jewelry (a necklace or bracelet) for each mama using one bead each mama sent and send them to us.

yep I definately suggest that all the DDCs organize a swap- I'm really looking forward to ours (thanks again scarletbegonias!)

When we did ours (April ddc) I bought mine from Etsy.com. I saw some really nice ones there!!
