:lol How's that for a title.... Could be just my nose (though I'm not noticing other smells yet) but seems to me that I smell... well, stinkier than usual... :p
Took a bath less than an hour ago. Dried off. Put on deodorant (yeah, I still use the nasty conventional stuff- I live in Houston...) and I think I smell stinky...
Anyone else feeling stinky?

I can smell myself, though not from the armpits. TMI.
When I lived in Houston, using the crystal worked for me, with some hippie scented deo on top for hot days. I was not pregnant then, but it worked better than conventional stuff. In fact, if I use conventional stuff now, it actually makes me smell. I think it is b/c you are trapping the bacteria.
Where in Houston do you live? I lived west of the Astrodome, then in the ghetto by the museums, then Sugar Land.

I personally haven't been stinking that much more than usual, but everything else sure has. My sense of smell is definitely heightened.

My deodorant stopped working during my first pregnancy, and it has stopped with this one too.
I'm going to try Dove again - that seemed to work decently with pregnancy #1.

This is too funny! With my last pregnancy I just stunk!!! No deoderant would work and within 10 minutes of showering I could smell myself.....well it's starting again:lol I try to use my natural stuff but I find myself having to reapply about 6 times a day which is annoying. Oh well. Another symptom I really don't like....:(

I had this with my last pregnancy too. It was so gross :o. I never could figure out if it was the heightened sense of smell, or if I really did stink. When I went to the bathroom it was so strong it made me nauseous :lol. Thankfully I haven't noticed it this time around ... so far.

I'm not sure if I smell (and I'm smelling EVERYTHING right now), but I feel like showering at least twice a day. I just feel so... oily and dirty.

This was my first inkling that I might be pg, it started like the day after conception. I had been using a more "natural" (Kiss My Face, not sure how natural that is but it doesn't have aluminum in it!) deodorant for a year with no problems. Then all of a sudden I stank by early afternoon. I even tried another kind from the natural health section, no luck. I had to switch back to Secret :-(

I'm still having luck with Oyin Funk Butter. It's the only natural deodorant that I truly love. :D

I feel better that I am not the only one. I never had this problem before. I used to be able to go without deodorant and be fine. My Secret stopped working and then I switched to Kiss My Face and that isn't working. I don't know what to try next.

The crystal, people! It's the only thing that works for me! The trick is to scrub your armpits for the first week or so when changing over to it (to get out all the regular deodorant crud.) When you get out of the shower, don't dry your pits, and rub the crystal on them. After about 4 days of regular use, you won't smell at all! It doesn't clog your pores - it is just a salt that sits on your skin and kills bacteria.

Yeah, but it does nothing for the puddles of sweat in my armpits :wink

I'll try anything! Do you think you can get the Crystal at Wild Oats? I'm going there tomorrow. If not where do you get it? I saw the website but I don't want to pay shipping or have to wait.

Any grocery store, not even hippie ones. Angela's right, though; you'll still sweat, but it won't smell. But it is not hot enough where I am for sweat.

Thanks! I don't really have a sweat problem, so it sounds perfect. I let you know if it works for me.

Use a washcloth to scrub your armpits every shower for several days. Use the crystal every time you shower. You should smell wonderful inside of a week.

I'm not stinky...but everything else seems to be. That Bloodhound pregnancy nose is back in full force. I wretch at the idea of having to pick up dog poop!
