Is anyone else having anxiety? Since learning I am expecting on Friday I have been a nervous nelly about all kinds of stuff - the first prenatal visit, my job, finances, blood tests. Seriously, if there's something to worry about I do. HELP!!! :gloomy:

Motherhood and worry seem to go together for many of us, and it doesn't end when you give birth to your healthy baby. If you're a control-lover like me, it's unnerving to know that something so important is going on inside you, and there's so little you can do to influence and monitor its progress. Worry during pregnancy is perfectly normal and understandable.
On the other hand, I think that hormones and brain chemistry can definitely trigger episodes of intense anxiety. I've been dealing with it for a while. For me, something about nursing would particularly set it off, and it was much worse with PMS. I worry about anything, but usually it's random bad things that could happen to ds. I've considered getting professional help for it. I don't know if this experience is normal, but I've decided to just live with it until I'm all done nursing and then see how I feel.

I have anxiety too. With this pregnancy, like my last, I started locking the bedroom door at night. DH must think I've lost it. I'm more sensitive to the sounds at night ~ ya know the house creaking and stuff. Might be because I don't sleep well @ night with the constant waking to pee & DH coming in for the night. It's enough to drive a person mad! I'm also super paranoid with DD ~ probably a little more so than usual. ARG!!! Are the Super Mood Swings not enough???

Yeah, I've been getting nervous about EVERYTHING and might I ask - why do people tell you not to listen to the "bad stories" and then tell you their own bad stories?!?!?! :duh
