I am curious because it does not seem to me that tihs baby moves very much or for very long. I can push on my tummy and not get the amount of"push back" that I had with my first son.
The baby moves..but not very often and not for very long. Just a wiggle here and there and thats all she wrote.
I went in for a Drs. Apt yesterday and she told me the heart beat and etc. Looked good and normal.Everything seems to be going well, but I am a tad concerned about the amunt of movement.
So, plpease reasssure me..is your baby" quiet" as well?
I am going into town in about an hour to run into the office soI can hear the ehart beat again. I tried to sound a tad smarter than I felt..explaining what I wanted, but fianllay just broke down and said" I need to hear the heart beat so I can relax a little."
Thank you all in advance......

Mine is moving less. I think he/she is running out of real estate. There is squirming, small kicking, and bladder squeezing (who gave this kid tools?!?!), but the flipping and belly mutations are over... My MW told me to expect less movement in the last month.

Yep, mine is moving less, too. Some days she's REALLY quiet and I start freaking out. Some days it's non-stop, I swear she's breakdancing in there!
I've read many places that there is much less movement in the last month.
But it's so hard not to worry, though, isn't it?

My babe has also slowed down movements this month, compared to last. I have also heard that they move much less during the final month. There just isn't room!
We have settled into pretty predictable patterns, though. There are several times a day when the baby is quite active. Again, just puches and kicks, no more of the all out swishes from a couple of months ago. Most active time for me is from about 2-4 in the morning!
Your due date is so close, just think, that little angel will be in your arms before long!:bf

Sam seems to cycle -- some days there is alot of movement -- like yesterday, for example. But other days, I don't feel any movement at all and I start to freak out. My Dr has encouraged me to pay attention to patterns and if I start to get worried, to "wake that baby up" by jiggling him, or eating something, or buzzing my belly with music with lots of bass or something noisy. He wants me to call if these efforts don't elicit some movement from Sam -- doesn't have to be alot, but at least something. He has been really understanding about my fears and takes me seriously, for which I am VERY grateful.
Having said all this, I do also have to say that Sam's movements feel different now -- I just assume it is because he has less room in there.
I have discovered that the one sure way to get him moving is to sit in a chair with my feet up and rest a novel on my belly while I read -- he HATES that and kicks and kicks at that novel until I quit resting it on my belly. It is so funny..... It's like he's saying, don't be so lazy, Mom, and pay some attention to ME!!!!

Kathy, I get that too.... most anything pressing on my tummy gets a nudge. "Hey, it's tight enough in here, don't make it more crowded!"
But I must say, that this kid likes to move!!! Yes, I think the movements are different, but probably just as frequent as before. I think they are stronger stretches rather than rolly polly movements. From what I've discussed with other pregnant friends, this kid just moves A LOT. My midwives have told me that it's normal for there to be less movement as things get tighter, so you're probably fine and I just have an energetic child! eek! (ok with me as long as it sleeps well too! :p )

Same here!!! He's definitely not moving as much, but he has the hiccups about 5 times/day, which I think serves me the reassurance I need! But if I bend over, he kicks at me, I guess cause I'm restricting his space!!!
They do slow down in the last month, as previously mentionned!!!
