That's all I've been wanting to eat! We make our own with a high fibre soy protein powder, banana and soy milk. Not low fat.

I've been forcing myself to eat other foods, but I get terrible indigestion and diarrhea . :(

Would the shakes be ok for two meals until this goes away?

Thanks,

Jen

smoothies with soy protein powder were a staple during my pregnancy. i had a hard time eating anything solid the first 4.5 months, and the smoothies were a good way to get a lot of protein into me without making me sick.
eat what makes you feel good.

If they go down, stay down, and taste good, drink away.

The low fat part is not important. In fact, with m/s you probably need a little more fat in your diet since you are maybe skipping other meals? It is super that you can keep down the protein and potassium you are getting!

Hope you feel better soon!:p

I keep forgetting to ask my mw what she thinks about them. Any HCPs care to put their two cents in? If they are okay, any recs on good ones? My diet is fine but since some days I know my protein is lacking I wanted to supplement.

Dr. Bradley rec. 75-100 grams of protein a day, thats a LOT!

Get some soy protein powder (or soy milk) from a health food store (or check around, Walmart probably carries it now!) and make smoothies with that, add some yogurt, some OJ, some fruit of your choice and wallha-a perfect protein food! (with vitamin c, potassium, calcium and lots more!).

I use an unflavored soy prot powder, flax seed meal or oil if I don't have the meal, soy lechtin (sp), rice milk or oat milk, and frozen berries of some kind and sometimes a banana.
Flax seed adds fiber and a lot of vits
