Ok mamas, let see what WACKY stuff we do in the urge to nest.

Currently my Dh has the kitchen appliances pulled out so I can sweep and mop behind them. The refridgerator needed the coils dusted. I was chuckling to myself that this is pretty extreme.

But I get in this mode that IF everything is clean, then maybe I will have more control over my life with a new baby. (I think I am only deluding myself).

So closets are cleaned, pantry will be organized AGAIN! and I am beginning to think about freezing foods.

I have washed and folded the babies clothes more than necessary too. My house is so clean and I know that it will not be like this again for another 3 years.

I had dh move the piano, and big shelving units so that I could wash the walls behind, that hadn't been done in 21/2 yrs, and felt so good afterwards. I've reorganized my pantry twice. I've reorganized every room in the house, wash the baby's diapers every week, as I'm worried they'll collect dust while waiting to be used!
Um, and just generally keeping on top of everything, Soleil has caught on, and is being super tidy too, cleaning up after herself. I'm so proud!!! :love

Peace,

If you are all done at your house, I'd love to have you come for a visit.:D We don't want to waste all that nesting energy.

With ds#1, the nesting instinct was low. I was more concerned about going on dates for one and enjoying my last couple of months of pre-mommy time. I read lots of books, ate nice quiet lunches, did lots of walking, and I saw some good movies

With ds#2, I cleaned some closets in the middle of the night and rolled some coins, but nothing too crazy.

This time I feel the need to rid myself of the clutter. But it's early yet. I've never been a deep cleaning nester though.

I usually don't nest at the end of my pregnancies. I wish I did.

I have been nesting now at halfway through my pregnancy. LOL Yesterday, I moved the couches and swept under them. YUCK! :eek Today, I cleaned my upstairs bathroom and even cleaned under the sink and arranged everything in there.

After 4½mo of not doing anything in my house - it needed some *SERIOUS* cleaning. I'm amazed at the energy I have right now. I wish I could keep it. I'm almost done with my house. My bedroom, my baby's room, and one room downstairs is all I have left.

My DH says he's living in a dream. LOL

How about this....we bought a new house! Ok ok, not exactly nesting. DH was reading The Birth Partner last night and was convinced that I was nesting because I had done more than one load of laundry that day and unpacked a couple other boxes. I think it's more of a panic attack that everything isn't going to be unpacked before the baby comes.

Before Quinn was born, I made and froze 19 (!) meals!! I HAD to cook.

Okay, I'm sort of lurking as I'm not preggers right now, but I have to say. . .in the last three weeks I was pregnant. . .

I mopped the ceiling of our unfinished basement (as well as all walls and the floor, but I've never heard of anyone mopping a ceiling). I also made and froze 10 quarts of soup. Our freezer was so full with the soup and other meals I froze that my husband didn't have any ICE because we couldn't fit the trays in the freezer. . .

But if you ladies still have some energy, come on over. DD is 8 months old now and I haven't mopped (not even our floors) in at least 2 months!

I am nesting like a crazy woman, but it is so good to know I am not the only one!:p

I have organized and cleaned every closet in the house. Even the toilet paper is neatly stacked. Each bathroom has the same number of towels/washclothes (I counted) in expectation of midwives/guests. I have refilled all the hand soap containers in the house (twice now!) because I want everyone to wash up before touching the baby!

Now I am on to sorting books by color in dd's playroom and the guestroom. I feel like Chanley, I know this won't get done again for a LOOOOONG while, so I had better do it know. :eek

I guess I'm just the odd one out. I'm due on Sunday
and have absolutely NO desire to clean at all. Yes, I'd
love my house to be clean, but I'm having a hard time
getting off my butt to do it! It's just too darn hot!!
