I just turned 30 wks and don't remember experiencing this, to this extreme, with my ds. I'm very sore and achy from my belly, especially the lower part (my pelvis?) to my upper inner thighs. This baby is pretty low, and last week, all the sudden, I started constantly feeling like this. Before it really started, I had a couple of times when the baby felt like she was in my cervix (not really, just a lot of pressure), and sometime after that I started feeling sore--could she have just changed positions, or possibly have already dropped?? This is my second baby, so I'm thinking not...
Dumb question, but could it be due to her size? My ds was small, and i've been loading up on the protein in hopes of her being larger--maybe there is more weight being put on my body?
Any suggestions on what I can do? What I shouldn't do?
pln gave me some great advice on the sept/oct mamas thread, but wondering if anyone had anymore more suggestions to add...
thanks!

Mamaley~I've also been experiencing this for about 3 wks now, I think it's the baby's position. I did not have this with Soleil either. At first I was worried, about what I would do if it was like this to the end...well, seems like it is. Sometimes it's worse than other times, but basically, I've been using this pain for my pain tolerance excercises..I'm still trying to get out for walks, even though it hurts, and I breath thru it. Sorry I don't know how to get rid of it...just use it to your advantage!!!

lol, that's what i was doing yesterday--using them to practice my pain managment. Now I'm starting to doubt my pain management. :LOL just kidding. So it's lasted that long, huh?

Can you be alittle more specific?
I had what I think is similar but maybe not.
It hurt to walk, driving a stick shift with the clutch was terribly painful. To be honest, I walked out of the hospital after delivering her feeling so much better than I had walking in(not in labor) or in months previous. I can't exactly describe it, it started at about 6 months, that it hurt. What I could gather is she was engaged early(she was my 3rd child), she was posterior when born.
My theory is that she was positioned off. This time, I'm only 24 weeks, but have spoken to a doula and several midwives, and it's the next question on my list for my OB, is that doing the cat stretch to help properly posetion the baby, it was recommended that either when that discomfort hits, or 6 weeks prior to EDD, to spend alot of time on hands and knees, elbows and knees. I don't think I can survive another 3 months like those were. That she was 9lbx 2 oz didn't help...lol.. but she isn't my biggest baby either.
Not sure if it's the same....

The soreness and achiness is in the lower part of my belly, esp. the lowest part, which I guess is the pelvis, and also in my inner thighs, and a little in my lower back. It's constant, but sometimes better, sometimes worse. Things that are uncomfortable to do: bending down (duh), walking, rolling over in bed, sometimes laying down. Ok, I'm reading this, and it sounds like what every pregnant person feels, lol. But I swear it's different than it was with ds.

That sounds more like stretching pains. Kinda like a runner stitch? I have that to, to the point I'm breathing and trying not to cry. It's ligaments. I didn't have it with my first, but my subsequent pregnancies I did. It's a scary feeling, but then I feel her bopping around in there, the tummy isn't hard, and it eases up after a bit. Joys of pregnancy, eh?

Yes, that's totally what it is. It feels like I've been exercising without stretching. LOL, after whining about it so much on here, it's starting to feel a little better!

Mamaley,
My dd was breech until 34 weeks so I didn't feel that low down pain pressure until the very end. However, this babe has been head down for awhile and boy do I feel it!:eek This is my second babe too and I am not 34 weeks pg. My midwives said babe has dropped significantly these last couple weeks. I thought after your first babe they didn't drop until the end, but I guess that is not always true!
TMI, but sometimes I feel like this baby is going to fall out! No advice here, I guess, just sympathy!
