So we seem to never get together.
I would love to have even like once a week play group thing!
I am thinking I will just post something that we are doing every week and hope someone else shows up.
Like on Monday or Tuesday FLUTTERBY and I are going to Assateague. Is anyone else interested? We usually go to the state park, it costs $2 per person and kids in carseats are free.
Then the next week we could go to
sandy point park
quiet waters park
My boys would love the B&O museum
the zoo
the mall in dc meet for lunch and go to whatever museum you want
college park has a cool airport museum, with lots of ride on toys and the planes take off right outside the windows
a pick your own fruit place
a firehouse
the chesapeake children's museum
playgroup at someone's house
any where else that sounds like fun within a couple hours of Annapolis and we could probably make it!
Before Monica moved away we would try to have some kind of trip once a week or so, I miss her. :crying
I can't wait to meet you!

Hi Mallory,
I wouldn't mind having a playgroup. It's so hard to find one around here! I don't know if I could do something every week though because of the distance. It depends on where we would meet.
Assateague is about 40 minutes away so that would be feasible. I'm not too sure where else we could go around here. It's pretty boring lol.
How old are you kids?

I would love to meet at Quiet Waters park, we haven't been there yet. I'm not really feeling up to museums as I am having to take pills to stop itching from insect nites and they are knocking me out. I've been up for 3 hours and still am not awake properly!
Just let me know when you want to do something and I will do my best to make it!

How about Quiet waters next week ( the first week of Aug)? We will probably be there two or three times anyway so someone else pick a day.
We would come up Susan! Sounds like fun!
lotusdebi and I are talking about starting some kind of parenting group. On How to talk so kids will listen and listens so kids will talk. They sell an actuall workshop kit (audio tapes, workbooks, ect), but it is kind of pricy, so probably we would just read the book and discuss.

Coming a little late to the party, but I'd love to join! I live in Columbia, so the Eastern Shore would be a bit of a hike, but the parenting group and activities within an hour's drive would be great! I'd also love to see lotusdebi again - sorry to fall out of touch after the first time we got together!
I'm at jessanddan@earthlink.net, if anybody wants to send email.

Thursday at 10 sounds good.
But my SIL is going to be here. I would guess that she wouldn't mind going to the park (she has an almost 5 year old). But she is not breastfeeding, family bed, intact, cloth diaper, ect. Not that I think she be rude or anything, just she might be uncomfortable, and I will feel like I have to spend most of my time with her. Of course they may feel like staying home too!
So with that exception, Quiet Waters at 10:00 on thursday sounds good!

As far as I know you get in free before 10. But they recently raised the rates (it's $5 now) and I don't know if anything else changed.
I have just assumed we are meeting at the main playground, right?
I am going to wear my "Mom's Brestaraunt" shirt!
See you there!

Hi gals, I missed your thread last week, but I just posted a new thread looking for DC moms. I have an almost-2-yr old, and he & I are both looking for playmates. We just moved to DC, and my babe is sorely missing his friends. Any other plans coming up? I'm game for just about anything.
Thanks
ps -Mallory, your original suggestion of a once-a-week playgroup would be great.
