diaper cover decorating ideas?

I am almost done putting together the diaper soaker I am knitting for my pediatrician who gave me her stash of too small bumpy wool covers and I want to add something decorative!

It is a beautiful soft silvery/grey, I have loads of yarn scraps but no design ideas, anyone else?

The cover is a pull on soaker so either a design that goes all the way around or something just for the bum!

A black and white yin and yang symbol might look nice on a gray background. :)

What does she like? It might be nice to pick something she really loves- like maybe a sailboat or trees or cats (just randomly picking things)

I loved the ying/yang idea and ended up doing a circle of alternating ying/yang and peace symbols just below the waistband. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show off how well it came out!

Now it's time to make a cover for my guy!
