I have a friend with a two year old who was recently diagnosed with autism. She's American, and only speaks english. There is therapy available for her son, but only in arabic. Are there any websites available that could give more information about her options? Maybe books she could order to help her with this. As you can imagine, she's feeling pretty frustrated at this point. (Someone actually suggested that she move back to America for treatment)

I am going to move this to the Special Needs Parenting forum. I think you'll get a lot of helpful replies there!

There are lots of different therapy options, but personally I think that she would be wise to take advantage of any professional help that she can get (in whatever language it comes in- couldn't the consulate get her an interpreter?)
Here's some links for her:

Not sure if this is what your looking for, but this is the program my son is in and I just heard about this CD Rom they are putting together to sell. I think the cost is around $100.
I can't say good enough things about this Dr. and this program.

my 3 year old has just been diagnosed as moderately autistic and we are beginning to research home based programs. Our school system is pretty much useless at this point, so I am going to be mom and ABA therapist.
