Homebirth in Lesotho?

I don't see any posts from anyone in Lesotho here, but maybe some of you SA mamas can help - anyone from Free State? I have a friend who may be needing a midwife in Maseru. Apparently there's a good midwife tradition there (probably largely by need), but she's not sure about how to find a mw to help her birth at home. Anyone have any recommendations or know whom she can contact? She's a Canadian expat new to living there, so a bit removed from local culture.

Hey there! No answer to your question but just wanted to say HELLO! I am part of an AIDS ministry at my church that is connected to a community in Lesotho. I got to go there exactly 2 years ago and loved it and can't wait to go back. I hope your friend found a midwife in Maseru...how did it go?

She ended up coming back home for the birth - I think she decided she wasn't comfortable birthing there. Thanks, though!
