Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a mother's group in Amsterdam that meets. Aidan is just 3 weeks so it's more for me to meet other mothers and feel a bit less isolated in my new role.

Thanks!
natalia

Hi Natalia,

We go to an AP playgroup several of us from MDC visit often. It's currently on wednesday afternoon, usually at someone's house when the weather's not so good, or sometimes the Zoo or Vondelpark. You can subscribe on Yahoo groups, it's posted every week where we meet. If you do a search on AP_NHOL it should pop up. If not, PM me so I can send you a link.
It's lots of fun, we have members from different countries and there are kids in different ages. You should come! New people are always welcome. :)

Ditto to the AP group, although I rarely get there due to scheduling conflicts.

Also, if you're American or have connections to America, you might be interested in the Moms and Tots group of the American Women's Club. We meet every Monday morning at different member's houses. I mention it particularly because I think of it as more of a moms' group than one of the type of playgroup where you have to run around after the kids and don't end up talking to anyone. Let me know if you want more info.

There is a fabulous baby-wearing teacher in Amsterdam who also organizes a number of mother's groups. Her name is Sabina Arevalo Hernandez; you can find out more at her website, www.babywearingcenter.com.
