Hi,

I just bought a sewing machine and don't even know where to begin. I went to Amazon.com looking for "How to Sew" books but there are so many out there. Are you aware of a beginner's guide that is thorough but easy enough for someone who has no experience at all? I would love a recommendation.

Thanks!

My favorite sewing book is the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing. I just checked Amazon.com and it's out of print, but they have used copies. It's just really great, covers the basics very well, but also goes into advanced techniques, so you could do just about anything :)

I agree that is a very good book for a beginners. I bought one at a discount bookstore once, very cheap and another im mew condition at ebay. I would check at wbay first. Good luck :)
