We're so excited!! We had an ultrasound this morning and our sweet baby had a heartbeat of 114bpm - great for this gestational age. :jumpers:

According to my LMP I am 6w6d.
According to our doctor's measurements on the ultrasound I am 6w6d.
According to my temp chart and when I am pretty sure I ovulated, I am 6w3d.
That gives me a due date of 6/2 or 6/6. Which due date would you go by? The LMP and how the baby measured on u/s today? Or by when I believe I actually ovulated?

I'd use the later one, just in case you need to later on. But really, +/- 3 days is the norm for anything (even charting, I think).

Yay for a good hb!

I always say go with the later day, just in case you need a few extra days in the end. No one questions an early baby, but late babies start to freak people out. My 4th baby was 12 days late. Had I had a 3-day earlier due date, she would have been 15 days late which subjects both mom and baby to testing and possible induction.

hip hip hooray! I agree with the others - I take a later date when I can. Then you can be pleasantly surprised when they come early. :)

Go with 6/6.

So if you go "early," you're thrilled, and if you go "over" it's not by as much. Just gives you more options, you know?

Thanks everyone for the input on my due date. I agree. 6/6 makes more sense.

That's so exciting!! A heartbeat.... It's a MIRACLE. Here we all are, having babies just like women all over the world, day in and day out, but it's a true miracle every time. I'm in awe these days.

It helps that I'm feeling pretty good, too. Every morning I wake up and open my eyes and think, do I feel sick? Is today the day that m/s might hit me? But not yet, and I pray it stays that way.

I'm 5 weeks and 2 days today. Still lots of time to experience ups and downs, I know, but I'm going to be optimistic about those downs!

Congrats!
I'm curious, why a u/s so early??

Because my DH and I have lost one child to an ectopic pregnancy, another child in an early miscarriage and twins in a miscarriage at 9 weeks.
